That sums up my thoughts for today. I'm tempted to go drive to the local reservoir, get naked and throw myself in. However, the shower will have to make do.

Anyhoo, I've just returned from Iceland with a box of Magnum's (no, sorry ladies - not the condoms), a tub of strawberry ice-cream and a box of (I'm showing my childish side) ice-pops! Haven't had one for years and they seem so right in this hot weather.

Hello Tal, so'm I - ordered my first delivery from them last week. The driver misread the address because he didn't wear the right glasses when he got out the van, then had a go at me for not giving the correct address (the docket had the right address on it, whihc he'd misread), and all the frozen stuff was slushy.

I am bloody knackered and cannot be bothered to cook properly tonight so I thought - couple of bbq bits, throw-together stuff and we will have make-shift picnic thing since its such nice weather. We all pile around Iceland (fortunately only 1 1/2 baskets worth) to get to the tills to have the system crash and I can't pay for it. Oh - but apparently they've been having trouble all day but not warning anyone until they get to the till. Tried twice and she said "oh I can keep it for you while you go to the bank" - the nearest one being in the hospital which isn't exactly park up and run in... so fuck that! I said no thanks and we walked away from it. So - hot, shattered, no food (or rowntrees ice-lollies grrr).
We stop instead at the Co-Op on way home - having fish fingers and chips for dinner instead. Sigh.

I want chocolate now.

Grr! I'd usually go to Iceland in person, but was too lurged up last week - hence the delivery.

The Co-Op's not bad as a fall back option, but it's not the same.

Rrrrr... T'was too hot to nap - tonight is going to be a killer, I reckon - so I get up and decide to do a bit of writing. However, it's too hot for me to sit down and concentrate.

I have therefore decided to sit here, with the TV on in the background and have wild fantasies... Of me sitting, buck naked...in an igloo.
