Careful there, given that today the hospitals are playing Hunt the doctor it might not be the best day to induce an aortic aneurysm: sausage AND bacon roll, that's just plain piggy.

Good point, I'm glad I didn't have an accident out on my bike this morning!

Good point, I'd forgotten about that. Hmm, would have spoiled my day a bit wouldn't it? Perhaps I need to work it all off again now? Any volunteers? :D

Ah! Here you all are - sneaking off like that!

How is everyone?

I'm off to London tomorrow with work - lonely night in a hotel ahead...

Good afternoon (evening?) all :D

Just insured my daughter on her first car (my old one) - she grabbed the keys and is gone - so now I am sat waiting for hubby to finish work and come take me to collect my new baby :D

I missed your post.

I challenge you to a drag race...

More accurately today would have been one of the SAFEST days for you to attend hospital.
Departments staffed exclusively with consultants - not an overworked junior doctor in sight. Save your aneurism for a later date, see the on-call junior doc who's worked 60+ hours that week on less per hour than the lad stocking shelves at Aldi.
Because that's clearly the safer option.....

Perhaps I should stick to observations about the weather, no?
(Just in case some of you don't have windows, like.)

....how about that snow, eh?!

Evening all

We had huge hailstones here, then snow. Really big flakes, laid for a while on the higher ground.

There are a couple of junior docs in my extended family. They report an enormous amount of support from patients, colleagues, the public for their stand against Jeremy...

Hi Silver Lining, long time since paths have crossed :) How's things? Junior doc's have my full support by the way, current situation is a disgrace.

Observe what you will, I agree anyway.

As it happens the comment by me and maybe others, was not meant to engage in any depth with th issues. I never post on the General Board for the reason that reason itself often appears to be displaced in an instant by deliberate misunderstanding, to put it mildly.

As it happens, I have quite some knowledge and understanding of the crippling, diminution of public services in the UK. The Junior Doctors are amongst that rare breed standing up to the mis-government we are suffering.

There, General Board style rant over; back to the blue skies and fluffy clouds of gentler parts of Lit.

There is no rule that dictates that fluffy clouds and blue skies should be exclusively observed in the playground. Of course I've been away a while and it's highly possible I missed a memo.

I just can't do the weather/flirt/innuendo loop of conversation that seems to be the norm here. Neither am I suited to the General Board.
Apologies for not complying with your notion of which listers should post where.
I'll happily leave you all to it. :D:rose:;)
