I was just reading over some of my interactive story in preperation for writing a new bit, only to be totally embarrassed by some of the typos I found! I would really appreciate it if anyone would like to proofread the story or even one or two threads. Just list the thread title, whether it's the male or female version of the thread, and what typos you found, and I'll fix them right up. Then I'll be able to relax and concentrate on writing new material rather than worring about the flaws in what's currently there.

Link and story description are in my sig:

Um, I'd be perfectly happy for suggestions on other types of editing like plot and character too.

Aww, nobody at all? :(

I'm bumping it just in case it was overlooked by the regulars around here.

I don't know much about interactive story and I'm booked solid with editing for the next 2 months.

Have you tried taking a look at the editor's list?

If you can wait a week or so, I may be able to help. I normally hate typo-hunting ... but I should be ok with it once I catch up on my sleep.

I'm an editor of very little brain .... can you give me a hint on how these types of stories are set up? Do you have multiple documents set up with some kind of a flow chart? I would probably prefer to edit the original document(s) than to edit on the screen and send you the reference points as to what to change. Send me a PM or email and we can discuss.

What I have been doing is keeping one master document with only the male versions of each thread, in order of creation. So it's pretty essential to edit the actual threads, because some of the worst typos occur when changing the male pronouns to female pronouns. But, I guess I could paste all the female versions into my master document (.doc format) and email it to you and you could make changes in red or something?

I totally sympathize with hating typo-hunting too, I myself find content editing much more interesting.

Sorry, didn't see your response.

I can take a run at the male version that you already have in a document. I'll make hard changes in the document .. indicating changes in red so you can see them easily.

I'm going to be taking about three or four weeks off editing ... so you can either send me what you have now or wait until I'm back and refreshed.
