Two2Tango Troll

DevilMayCare, I think you suffer from OCD (Obsessive Compulsive Disorder). Nothing that a little Luvox or Zoloft couldn't fix. Are you supposed to be a man or woman? Not that I care, but ProblemChild might. I'm not sure yet whether you are obsessed with him or me. Oh my, you're not his troll are you?

DevilMayCare, you say, "Nasty trolls and voting down stories have been very effective instruments for tweaking certain people at this site."

Say what? How so? You sound like the advocate for "nasty trolls" and "voting down stories." What, are you saying this does more good than harm? And what do you think about the Two2Tango story? I must have missed your vote.

Let me respond to your PPD (Paranoid Personality Disorder) model point by point ...

1. I have sufficient basis about the deception. Read this thread.

2. There is little about my doubts that are unjustified. For example, I doubt you have been a member of this board for only two weeks.

3. I'm not unforgiving. All you have to do is cease what I consider to be incredibly deviant behavior and express some sort of remorse.

4. The attacks on my character are rather apparent. Do I have to give you 50 links?

5. The fidelity of my sexual partner is a moot point. Charlie the Chimp does what I tell it to do.

Charlie the chimp?

So you went back to that wench... fine then have your fucking baby I dont want it anymore

Now where did DevilMayCare go off to? He/she/it or whatever it is was just logged on. Too slow, too slow. I don't have all nite to suffer fools gladly.

Deborah, you've been after Patryn and her other identities for a very long time now. When are you going to put a stop to her? Or do you enjoy the "dance" too much to make it stop?

Does it matter? And I'm not being sarcastic at all. I'm honestly curious. She obviously has her reasons for doing what she's doing. I'm beyond wondering about her motives. I just enjoy her posts.

In the grand scheme of things, none of this matters a bit. But the subject has come up again, as it does every few months. So I thought I'd directly ask the question. I'd just like to see the whole incident put to rest for good.

My main point in posting to topics like this has ALWAYS been that I don't understand people who whine about "not rocking the boat."

Basically, the whole basis of that argument is that you don't care about what's "right" or "wrong" you just don't want there to be anything messy.

Will those of you with this view please take a moment to GROW THE FUCK UP?

You know – everyone comes here for different reasons, but I think it’s suffice to say that we ALL come here for some element of attention from others. Communication, discussion, flirting, etc. It is ALL about attention. That’s not a BAD thing. But unless you’ve got the IQ of a raw carrot, it’s not that hard to figure out the motivation behind ANYONE posting on a public BB.

Deborah is not an obsessive compulsive. She just recently got to 1000 posts and how long has she been registered? She is just very selective and careful about the things she posts on. So it’s not the SHeeP issues. Oh well. We have enough SHeeP. There’s room for a Deborah. One intelligent, harsh woman isn’t going to bring about the end of the world.

On ANY given day you’re going to find MORE than enough playful, trite flittering to get you what you need. Some of us are going to post unhappy truths. Get used to it. I don’t mind if you bitch about it, nor will I ever. That’s your option. But acting like you don’t understand and asking “why” over and over and over is stupid.

I, personally, can’t stand melodramatics and “chat” threads. But I UNDERSTAND them. I know why people post them. I just don’t like it. And, YES, I will bitch about it when I so choose. There is NO MYSTERY as to why I bitch.

There is NO MYSTERY as to why Deb hates trolls. NONE. Quit acting like you’re trying to understand her motivation.

Those of you don’t care about “right” or “wrong” and just want this place to be a Shiny, Happy People Place, have at thee. Knock yourselves out. There is PLENTY of room for you here. I’ve seen you enjoying it.

The rest of us will have our fun and mingle it with good conversation and maybe a few passionate topics regarding unhappy things. And - **gasp** - yes maybe even an ARGUMENT here and there.

It doesn’t mean you have to go away. It doesn’t mean anyone’s chasing you off the board.

It just means that some of us think the playground crap is stupid, the same way some of you think that serious debate is a waste of time.

There are opinions all over the place. It’s not Deb’s fault that her are provocative enough to draw a lot of attention – both negative and positive.

And, April, the incident will never be put to rest “for good” until trolls stop. Let me let you in on a little something…that’s probably NEVER going to happen. Once again – NO MYSTERY THERE.

Didn't intend to abandon you Deb but RL beckoned and I simply couldn't refuse the invitation. On your advice I checked out Obsessive-Compulsive Personality Disorder to see if it fits me. It doesn't...

Obsessive-Compulsive Personality Disorder

A pervasive pattern of preoccupation with orderliness, perfectionism, and mental and interpersonal control, at the expense of flexibility, openness, and efficiency, beginning by early adulthood and present in a variety of contexts, as indicated by four (or more) of the following:

(1) is preoccupied with details, rules, lists, order, organization, or schedules to the extent that the major point of the activity is lost

(2) shows perfectionism that interferes with task completion (e.g., is unable to complete a project because his or her own overly strict standards are not met)

(3) is excessively devoted to work and productivity to the exclusion of leisure activities and friendships (not accounted for by obvious economic necessity)

(4) is overconscientious, scrupulous, and inflexible about matters of morality, ethics, or values (not accounted for by cultural or religious identification)

(5) is unable to discard worn-out or worthless objects even when they have no sentimental value

(6) is reluctant to delegate tasks or to work with others unless they submit to exactly his or her way of doing things

(7) adopts a miserly spending style toward both self and others; money is viewed as something to be hoarded for future catastrophes

(8) shows rigidity and stubbornness

These search engines are really something.

You seem to know quite a bit about diagnoses and at least psycho-pharmacological treatment of mental disorders. I don't know whether to conclude you're a clinician or a patient. ;)

Deb, I acknowledge that you know far more than I will ever know about the intricacies of nasty trolls, plagiarism and manipulation of the voting system. As an experiment I recently tried to vote twice on a story and was confronted with a message that said my IP address was recorded in the Lit database and that I'd already voted. I've no doubt there are people who can manipulate that system, despite my complete ignorance of how it could be done.

I've also been rethinking my earlier posts in light of comments from Dillinger, Problem Child and, more recently, Madam Pandora. I also revisited earlier exchanges between you and DCL. Honestly, I don't have the heart to initiate a reprise of Dixon Carter Lee's arguments with you, despite the fact I agree with his point of view. As PC's comment to me implied, the board has had enough of that discussion. Therefore, I willingly step back as you pursue your cause, whether noble or ignoble, for better or worse. As I observed earlier, this is no skin off my nose. My ox is not being gored. And as MP suggests, there's little to be gained for anyone to criticize you for being you. So have at it Deb! There is no doubt in my mind that you are uniquely you.

Um...this may be about Two2Tango...but....

:p

But the beat goes on.

DevilMayCare, quite well-thought out but irrelevant response. And you ignored my questions of course. You don't want to debate, you want to hit and run and create perceptions. You know, baffle 'em with bullshit.

April, you ask when am I going to put a stop to Patryn. How would you propose I do that? Seriously, what do you think are some possible alternative solutions? Anybody else have any suggestions?

Clever, aren't I? Perhaps I'm the devious Patryn... ;)

Here's the litmus test, DMC. What would you usually eat with a French salad?

a) cold meat
b) roast beef
c) fries
d) a monkey

Braised, broiled, grilled, fricasseed or sauteed in whine sauce?

(I swear that's not plagiarism, I bought the whine sauce from PC.)

If I was at all suspicious I'd have to say that you're evading the question, DMC!

Lightly sauteed with a garnish of lemon and garlic sauce.

DevilMayCare, just remember it was you who suggested you might be the devious Patryn. Don't be accusing me of starting this shit.

And please answer at least one of the many questions I asked but you avoided. Are you supposed to be a man or woman or what? I don't have time to read through all the 256 posts you made in your first two weeks on the board. Hell, you keep going like this you just might pass up the shepherds, Nolights and Ambrosucks. Count up all the posts from all your identities and I bet you are number one. And they are number two, lunch for Raymond Burr.
