Two Tiered Justice: The Fraud of Brett Favre

Favre was never a nice person. To be really super honest he wasn't even that good of a QB. Above average with a gunslinger attitude that worked in that system is all he had going for him.
Now I gotta watch my back if I go to WI cuz that was pure blasphemy.

He's my favorite non-Steeler player especially when he torched the Faiders on MNF the day his pop passed.

Frauding to steal welfare money is a fun thing he did too

In most contexts, "welfare fraud" would be a huge fucking deal to the people who make up the majority of the voters in Mississippi, not to mention most of the people who start threads here. I wonder why there's been so little commentary?

Bigger fish to fry. But he seems to be getting sizzled too.

a lot of bigger stories right now but his sizzling is both merited and overdue. I did read that quote about him being concerned if his getting paid would be found out by the media, which tells you all you need to know about where his true values lie.

I read that quote too....at the top of this thread. :/

He wasn't "frauding" to steal welfare money when he was lighting up the Faiders on MNF.
If you want to post a football legends thread to discuss that aspect, free free. This thread is about his frauding.

I feel free to post whatever I want wherever I want. Feel free to feel upset about it.

He had some great games and the dad game was his best but I still say he is overrated. I'll give Pack fans some wiggle room cuz he was the best they'd seen in a long long time but he floundered outside of Green Bay and his post career has been a joke. He had a strong arm but didn't seem to give a shit where it went. Much as I hate to say it, Brady is by far the superior QB.

Speaking of Brady, I got Evans in a league and he's not playing because the great one couldn't keep his trap shut. OTOH it was a pretty good fight and that's rare in football.

This is hardly a surprise, guy has always been a sleaze bag and a narcissist.

Prediction is Favre and the Guv stay free, the woman who did the paperwork goes to jail for 20 years.

further text evidence released that flies in the face of favre's denial about knowledge of where the funding came from. he was specifically told.
A recent court filing has revealed texts showing Favre continue to press Mississippi state officials for funding, even after being told by then-Gov. Phil Bryant misuse of state funds could be illegal, according to ESPN. Favre also reportedly pushed for help in building an indoor football facility to assist the Golden Eagles' recruiting.

As one text showed, Bryant explicitly mentioned some of those funds came from a federal program intended for needy families (Temporary Assistance for Needy Families, or TANF) and that improper use of the funds is illegal
