After the Destruction of earth in the 2427, The human population has moved around, with hundreds of colonies being formed around the universe, with the help of the Xareeph, a four-armed serpentine race of space travellers. Soon it started to look as if the humans and Xareeph have a future together.
Then in 2599, scientists searching for the cure to the ever present cancer threat, accidently created a virus, which mutates both Humans and Xareeph.
Infected Humans became Mals, Canine humans. The 'Superior' Race.
Infected Xareeph became Lavs, Mindless Rotting Drones. The 'Slave' Race.
The virus could be spread by sharing bodily fluids, bites and scratches, and soon the local system was over-run. The Mals declared war on Humanity. All would be Mals, or all would die.
2611. Today. The war still rages, but life still goes on, and for Cargo Ship Captain Matt Scott, this means getting a new crew.
OK, i'm Captain Matt Scott of the Cargo Trawler 'Twilight'.
