I was just sitting here thinking about how many here have a tv in their bedroom? I know some of my friends do, but personally I've never had the urge to do so. I personally prefer to read before I go to sleep, and usually I'm so tired when I go to bed, that it only lasts a short while before I fall sleep.

Guilty. i refuse to have one in the dining room but wherever else is cool! :)

can be fun in the bedroom, depending on the show! :)

Same here kids have one in their rooms there's one in the front room but I much prefer to read in bed.....unless its a special weekend of course ;)

We have one in our bedroom, but the kids do not. My husband likes to fall asleep with it on, then I turn it off.

btw, the title of this thread might lead one to believe you wanted to talk about transvestites.

Oh I know that  I hope people that think that don't get to dissapointed ;)

I have an old 19 inch color tv, nothing special about it. I use it to watch movies or play a game or two on.

I do not have television service though, no cable or rabbit ear antennas or anything like that. Once you get used to not watching it then you just don't miss it but I think the cable guy is paranoid because he keeps checking the box to make sure I'm not pirating cable.

i have no tv at all....got rid of it and i don't miss it one little bit :p
my kids hated me for a couple of days, visitors think i'm insane but i'm glad to be rid of it.
certainly wouldn't ever want one in the bedroom where i either sleep or make my own entertainment.
xx

Fucking A righteous Dolf! Good job! I would love to get rid of my TV. My umm... comrade just sits there staring at it all day playing games or watching shitty shows, and when I try to talk to him, he doesn't even hear me. The TV is evil. I may just get rid of the cable. That would probably do the trick.

I was TV-less, M has a nice large one that we rarely turn on in the living room. I confess I like being able to pop in a DVD over a meal, but I just about never turn on the networks or programming.

My exceptions might be Simpsons or Charley Rose or something once every 6 months.

I cant live without television, even if if it's just glowing softly in the background. It's the first thing I turn on, and the last thing I turn off. The one in my living room is a console from the early 1970's. It is so old that i have to run my DVD player through a little modulator box because there is no connection on the back of the TV. I also have a smaller one in my bedroom, but I think the colored burnt out of it because its all green. I mostly just sleep on the couch anyway.

Once, after my place was broken into, I had to go without cable for a whole week because the black and white set to replace the stolen one only went up to channel 13. That was the worst week of my life. I also refused to move into my apartment until I was sure certain the cable guy had already been there. If I ever marry, I will have to have my very own TV room. I will not compromise my remote!

Had one in my bedroom in my single days, mainly for watching video's that weren't suitable child viewing. Came in handy when I was tired of reading or was sick and just wanted to hibernate in my room....also had a stereo.....said all I needed was a small bar fridge for the diet Coke and ice and I would never need to come out!! Masterly One is keen to get one in our room in the future though I am not sure it will be the greatest idea but who knows, maybe it will have it's pluses.:)

I have one but it's hardly ever on. I would rather read or be on the computer as a distraction. I'll only just use it to watch my DVD's.

We have one..........Have to have one to play our smut tapes....:D

Well, I did think that, but I like this topic too. :)

The wife and I have a TV in the bedroom, because that's where we spend 90% of our time in the house. We don't use the living room much, and we didn't even before my in-laws moved in (now they use it as their living space, because their bedroom is small). We don't even have furniture in the family room anymore!

The TV is often on. We use it as noise cover when we're having sex, sometimes, although I often get distracted by the TV so sometimes I'd rather turn it off and just keep quiet. (We don't have a good stereo system in our room...just a little clock/radio alarm. It can play CDs, but it's crappy.) We have it on as background noise a lot too, when we're using the computer or reading or crocheting or cleaning or whatever else we do in the bedroom. I do occasionally use it for video games, too.
