As someone who's been a fan of LotR for a good long time, I felt knowing the story beforehand greatly increased my appreciation for the movie.


AND it pissed me off because I almost blew my top after I heard the 10th group of people make the comment, "I can't believe they left the ending like that. I hope they make a sequel." Which preceeded me having to explain for half an hour about the history of LotR....argh... I hate stupid people
