Well, you were near his nest, right?

I stirred up some ground stingers in the back yard several years ago, back when it was quite different, and I got zapped three times before I was sure what had hit me.

Turns out I had stumbled upon their nest under something or another that I was moving to toss out.

I waited until winter to get rid of it.

The nest was built inside the big storage unit on my deck and that's where I store my chlorine tablets.

Clearly they have no sense of smell...

That would explain a lot.

In other news, we get the VP blowing through this week, at some point.

I'm sure he'll ask how the job is going, and I'm equally sure that he won't like the truth. He'll argue with it, and he'll say that we have to do what he says and not what circumstances dictate, and then he'll say something three weeks from now that will disclose that he's been pondering The Truth the whole interval between.

"This place is infested with weasels. Infested, I say . . . ."

There's a series of commercials running demonstrating what life would be like if people really said what they meant.

Clever, funny and entertaining, but not effective because I cannot for the life of me recall what company is being pitched.

Canada Day is Saturday, it's 150 years so there will be drunk idiots with fireworks everywhere :(
I don't mind the fireworks, but the idiots should be banned.

I government crap to deal with today, I hate the red tape :(

Every passing year, the US restrictions, most of it local, keep getting more and more...,

~ ahem ~

restrictive.

I know, if I had tried to start my business in the US it would have been nearly impossible to do it legally without a large investment of cash and a year to get through the paperwork.

And in my mail was the reminder that I am overdue to get a physical and since my move I haven't bothered to find a new group of leeches for my needs. I guess I should try and get on that too.

They're not very bright.

Good thing they haven't opened accounts to post at Lit.

Could you imagine a swarm of them over a keyboard, typing out some ludicrous tripe-n-drivel?

They'd probably have a hard time deciding on a user name . . . .

Humbutts

PS - I think Princess has finally worn down the Queen. Last night she asked for permission to go down to Florida to "see the ocean" with her friends and the Queen gave in. They somehow think they are going to get there this morning and be home by this evening. That seems to be a bit optimistic to me.

Just made a garden salad with two types of lettuce, arugula, chard and snow peas.

I also added vidalia, little colored peppers, shredded cheddah! and boiled eggs, the last being not store-bought.

I discovered that ants were herding aphids, complete with guarding soldier ants and destroying my peas.

I love the smell of napalm in the morning!

Git some! Git some!

;) ;)

Home. I made salad. All store-bought. :)

I did pick another z000k and squash. They can be supper tomorrow night, assuming that I can stay awake long enough to saute them.

I went all WWI on the plants last weekend. Well, I guess it was gas when it evaporated. I was gunning for fungus and bugs. But the guy on the radio show said you can mulch the plants and it helps keep the fungus in the dirt.

I need to eat, but I wanna go to bed now . . . .

Good morning!

Big stupid is out and after something, what? I have no idea. She might not even have a clue...

I have to go buy a new deep fryer today for Freedom Fries and sitch; went to use mine yesterday and it has moved on to a better place...

Happy Wednesday!!! Also, happy payday and happy summer!!!

I've been in the online banking windows paying up the middle of the month bills-n-crap. I do it early so it'll hurt less.

The new downstairs a/c turns itself off entirely when it hits temperature. If I were spending more time down there, it would take awhile to get used to, I think.

it's also a higher SEER rating than I've ever seen or a portable. Isn't that nice? ;)
