So, I'm doing laundry. How Sunday of me.

First load done, and I make cornbread and put it in to bake.

The cornbread was done and the dryer was quiet. So was the washer with load #2.

I had forgotten to push the run button on the dryer. I have no patience with myself when I do shit like that.

Did mine yesterday so I could fuck off today. Trying to find a decent concealable .45 cal pistol that's on the California acceptance roster.

I think I'd tend to stick with military calibers. Rainy Decade stuff and all that.

That said, I have a Beretta model 96.

I'm thinking very hard about pulling the trigger on a full-size Glock in .45ACP.

Thirteen plus one has a lot going for it.

I'd do the same but I want something a little smaller than a full-size pistol. I like the Kimber in .45. I like this Sig in .45 ACP it has a 3.9" barrel and is legal in CA.

PS: in CA we're only allowed 10 rounds.

Right, but I like the idea of when the bigger mag is available . . . for other states . . . an' shit.

And the .45 goes with the Bigger Is Mo' Bettah motif, too.

Speaking of, check this out:

Just for the record I'm a 45 guy.

BUT

I'm also a believer in the 40. Plenty of power and impressively flat ballistics in any practical self-defense range.

It's important that you shoot it before you buy it. I've shot some concealable 9's that are flat ass painful to shoot. I've also seen some folks rip the web of their thumb open with the slide on some of the newer spurless designs. (Yes, it was an improper grip but when you need a pistol most you aren't concentrating on your grip.)

A friend has a Kimber 45. Not the micro, more in the Colt Commander sizing. Excellent workmanship, smooth action, and comfortable to shoot. Then again at the price it damn well better be.

I think the Kimber is over-priced.

Then again, I just haven't bought one yet. Maybe one day.

A buddy of mine is a 10mm guy. I can see the merits of it, but ammo is kind of a bitch.

That said, a 10mm Glock can be three guns - the 10, a .40, and a .357SIG - and that is a nice batch of options to have.

Re. the Kimber. Out of the box it shoots like a Colt Gold Cup that has been taken to a custom shop and fine tuned. So in that regard the price starts to look a lot better.

I never really cared for Glock, or the Smith M&P series either and that comes down to an old school prejudice.............I want an exposed hammer.

Yeah, that's the report on the Kimber. The last one I racked the slide on felt like a piece of very precise equipment, like rotating a tightly fitted short block.

Me? I hate Glocks. Fucking loathe them. They're just about the ugliest and most unwieldy firearm out there. And they fucking flat-out work. Period.

And I very much respect that . . . and they're totally worth what they cost.

Hate to interrupt, but I have never seen any episode of Friends.

Someone delivered a new compost barrel this morning.

Once the temp gets at least to 60, I'll assemble it.

I need to clean the pool some too...

Does having seen an episode of Friends somehow make me . . . Less Than??? Oh, the Horror!!!

I seem to be mired in a monsoon. It looks like through Tuesday, if not into Wednesday. My landscaping contractor is supposed to start tomorrow, but he'll be lucky if he can start before Thursday at this rate. The VP isn't going to be a Happy Camper. Nevertheless, it still should work out . . . maybe.

I'll be sure to ask the veggies how they have liked their showers.

I wonder what's for supper. I think I'd like to eat soon.

I like the Springfield EMP as well but it's only available in CA in 9 MM. So tired of Commie pussies writing our gun laws.

Naw, it doesn't mean anything at all.

I was raised a reader. I didn't do a lot of TV because most of the time I was studying, working and raising hell, not necessarily in that order.

Today I will focus on outside stuff, because, well the Queen wants her garden and flowers, but she's too busy to put in the effort and now I see that she's all set up to buy new chicks, so there will be even more critters that I will have to care for. Joy...
