It's starting to look a lot like that.

Ivy, jasmine and clematis. Just a big door mat.
It's even made its way to the upper balcony...

Pretty soon the deer won't even know it's there and the dogs won't be able to find their way home. Or is that part of the plan?

Nobody here goes out on the porch or uses the front door, so it is
pretty much a non-event in our lives.

Eventually, I will have to hack it back in order to paint the porch
so that it doesn't jut rot away...

Perusing a sporting goods store sales flyer that just came out I ran across items such as a flashlight with no other special functions that's on sale for $99.99.

A Nikon P-308 rifle scope on sale for $250. Nikon discontinued that model 2 years ago and if you don't mount it on a 24" barreled 308 Win. the features are mostly useless.

A wifi enabled spotting scope. I suppose that one is going to be a hot seller to the crowd addicted to their phones.

The PM wants to have a pow-wow this morning. We do have a couple of glitches coming up: trim carpentry, flooring, and the wire butchers. I think the cabinet crew will fill in the slack for the carpenters.


I don't know. We'll see.


Meanwhile, it'll be fucking hot-n-humid . . . again . . . .

Both the girls are here tonight, with both dogs. We're holed up.
