That reminds Wat, we have some copper what needs recycled.

Got the bike to the shop in the drizzle. The lousy tires feel shitty on wet roads, so no hurry was had. The fucking shop was closed. How the fuck did that tidbit get missed yesterday?? Who the fuck knows, so Wat returned to the house and turned off the HfD. And the phone was ringing.

It was the cat's g/f who had agreed to retrieve Wat. She was at the shop and saw a guy, so she started flirting with him. He agreed to hang out for a few minutes to take in some work. So, a return visit was initiated. Spent 20 minutes chatting with the guy - the shop owner - and doubled my knowledge about the bike. He may have been selling some work, but if so, it was well done - and well priced.

Thanks a lot, cat's g/f!!!

I cannot wait for winter.
Eventually, he will find a way into the coup.
I really detest store-bought eggs. They are just without flavor.

Fox isn't the only problem you have in your neck of the woods. Coon and Possum will gladly feast on poultry. A 'fencer' will solve your problem and even the Dachy's will only test it once. :)

Home. Went out for a milkshake. Chock-you-let. Allah damn right!!!

Fucking crabs you get these days. They should just stay in their shells. I'll bet that one is stealing wifi from the nearest hotel, or using the cellphone it stole for a hotspot. Fucking shell-bearing thief.

So we talked about work fuck-ups. Shit happens. What part is ours, and what part can we control??? Right. Then why am I stewing over the other bits???

How did it get to be late???

Happy Tuesday!!!

I have already been confused twice as to what day it really is - Tuesday or Wednesday. Today, I'd prefer that it be Tuesday. And . . . the coffee is still kicking in.

And the rain is still happening out there. Flash flood warnings still until midnight. Oh well.

I hope one of my friends will log in and tell you lot in case I choke on dust and cough until I die . . . vomiting up airline food . . . washed away by the rising tide of floodwaters . . . . :rolleyes:

The work of adult life is not easy.

~Gail Sheehy

We used to look for a easier, softer way. We tried to take care of ourselves by staying clear of hard task. The result? We haven't known what the work of adult life is.

The work of adult life is this: to become spiritually centered. And to do this, we work at getting rid of our self-will. There will be many great rewards for doing this. We will wake up spiritually. We will connect with those we love. The result? We will receive self-love to replace self-will. Our work will not be easy, but it will be rewarding.

Self-sufficiency through self-sacrifice . . . . :eek:

Coon got our rabbits.

You can't catch me 'cause the rabbit done died...

In Buddhism we establish whether a teacher is authentic by whether or not the guidance he or she is giving accords with the teachings of the Buddha. It cannot be stressed too often that it is truth of the teaching which is all-important, and never the personality of the teacher. This is why Buddha reminded us in the "Four reliances":

Rely on the message of the teacher, not on his personality;

Rely on the meaning, not just on the words;

Rely on the real meaning, not just the provisional one;

Rely on your wisdom mind, not on your ordinary, judgmental mind.

So it is important to remember that the true teacher, as we shall see, is the spokesman of the truth: its compassionate "wisdom display." All the buddhas, masters, and prophets, in fact are the emanation of this truth, appearing in countless skillful, compassionate guises in order to guide us through their teaching, back to our true nature. At first then, more important than finding the teacher is through making a connection with the truth of the teaching, for it is through making a connection with the truth of the teaching that you will discover your living connection with a master.

Allah does not allow us to "consider the source."

There are always lots of predators around, and I asked about red fox pelts. The big market is crappy right now but one hunter I spoke with said that crafters are always looking for a source of small number high-quality winter furs. You might want to ask around your community to see if there is a niche market available.

Coffee, computer maintenance and paperwork for me today and if it goes as expected I'll need even more coffee to stay awake.

If humans were to disappear tomorrow, I do believe that raccoons will inherit the earth. Clever little bastids.

That's a thought. Both Fox and Mink were way down this year. So is Lynx for that matter. Coyote, Bobcat, and northern Marten (Canada/Alaska) are what are demanding the prices.

The possum communicated with me telepathically.

He told me that if I spared him, that he'd make it his Life's Work to hunt down and eat the Lit Alt Creators.

Insh'Allah that he get busy immediately.

The bike shop called. Not a grand, but close. But with new rubber and a full 10K miles going over, that's not too bad. He said it's in "great shape," so that's reassuring, too. Knowing beats not being too sure, so . . . .
