Back from the ranch. 17 Coyote's have gone to their reward (70 virgin cottontails?). If nothing else it was good to get up into the mountains, 15 deg. cooler. The place was lousy with Mulie's and bear and cougar sign all over the place.

The ranch owner has game camera's place at strategic locations and we replaced the chips and took a look at what posed for the camera. There was the usual assortment of game but one picture was friggin' funny. A big old cinnamon bear had climbed into one of the stock tanks and was 'taking a bath.' It was too much like a Golden Retriever in a wading pool. I had to laugh at that one.

This might be the first truthful comment by a RWCJer in this thread. Have a coworker who lives next to a layer farm, she brings in flats of "unsellable" eggs (blue tinge). These are the fresh unwashed eggs that need never be refridgerated, and they are delicious.

I miss farm fresh eggs, I haven't found a supplier here and have to make due with those weak store bought things.

As for the fox, if it's just one they are good for keeping the rodent populations down but if you really want to get rid of it a simple copper line in the spot you regularly see it will solve your issue and raise it high enough nothing else will steal your pelt.
