Back in Old Workville. I got a call today to carry mah ass back here for one more go 'round . . . on a fucking rocking toilet. It's gotta be the subfloor. No matter - we're replacing everything.


I get to go to New Workville this weekend. It's over 12 hours down there. Likely as not, I'll spend the entire month down there.


Mr. Cat will have some adjusting to do.

Good luck with that Wat. Most cats don't take well to changes in territories. The only cats I've seen that fairly consistently travel well have been Siamese.

This one seems to have a human link. He knows and likes his house, but he seems to get lonely - so I'm told, since I can't see it - when I'm out and about.


This way, he'll get the human consistency part, but not in a large area.


I don't know, and it hasn't happened yet.


I miss my old Siamese.

I figured out why I have been so tired. Math.

Turns out 7 x 24 does not equal (6 x 12) + 2 days with the small one. Last night I drug myself out there, (am still "out there) and cannot seem to be in the right place at the right time at all. Revenue is a third of what I aim for nightly. Was in one area that it's generally pretty high volume for an hour and 45 minutes without a single assignment being offered.

I think people are sleeping it off from Memorial Day. Which is what I should be doing.

I came to Workville yesterday to meet 2 contractors to (attempt to) get shit done.


One no-showed. Seems his wife has teh cancer and he took her to the doctors or treatment or something. I guess we'll give him a pass and wish the best for her.


So I'll catch up with my buds and visit because I'll be here one more night.


I love the fact that this isn't a trial and tribulation.

The cat nursed his human to a full and complete recovery. He spent many hours each day communing with Allah appealing for his will. It was a masterstroke of Islam.


I still had to feed him and shovel the litter box, however.
