It's right at freezing here (33) so it'll be turn the key then finish loading I guess. The one doesn't depend on the other so no big deal.
 
And here I thought I was nearly alone in going to conferences an' sich where they tell us not to pee off the balconies.


What the fuck is the fun in that? In fairness, however, since they threw smokers outside and since I quit smoking, I spend much less time on balconies, except visiting with friends who still smoke.


I can wait for b'ar chili. Hell, I've waited this long.

Looking to be pleasant at the cabin. Got #2 child hauling up some lumber for some loft railings and roof trim for the outhouse. It's time to replace the blue tarp with some nice green tin.



We have the black ice to deal with this year and are using a mixture of old and new technology along with just being fucking careful to deal with it. The siped ice tires have a special rubber compound mixed with walnut shells for traction and that's augmented with some carbide tire studs. I haven't ridden in a car with walnut shell tires since I was a little kiddo.

When it comes to standing seam or corrugated roofing, I like green, copper left to eventually oxidize, or rusty tin. Nothing else looks "right" to me.

The most reliable non-stick pan is a heated well-seasoned cast-iron one. Followed by a hot well-oiled stainless steel one. My experiment with a ceramic coated pan is probably coming to an end I don't like the way it retains heat longer than I want it to and it really doesn't do a very good job of being non-stick.

Smooth and uneventful drive until I hit the Scottsdale traffic. I thought all these people would be leaving town. <shrug>
 
Home. Went out for Chinese. Got a nap in. The cats are fine.


Thursday is gonna be cold. A bit warmer on Friday. Saturday is warm-n-rain, and Sunday is warm and gorgeous. Figures.


Traffic on the drive home was heavy but steady and not too st000pid. There were a couple of "incidents," but nothing serious. And more fucking cops on the road today than I have ever seen, ever. The Communistic Commonwealth must be looking to balance the budget this holiday season.


Looks like a quiet day around the homestead tomorrow.
