Thanks for explaining the screenshot. I'm a geek for that sort of thing, just ask CG. So you write your own music? And what's that little keyboard thing? Can you play chopsticks with your cursor on it?

Yes, I write music. I've been involved in music for as long as I can remember.... as a listener, audio engineer in the studio, live sound, producer, and journalist. I've played in a number of local bands, and am currently one half of a systems based improvisational experimental music duo. I also perform on my own from time to time, and will be doing so on Oct 2nd.
I've also been involved with sound art.
The track I shared earlier was really just an exercise. Sometimes I feel the need to be creative, without having any specific purpose. Sometimes the results become tracks, and sometimes they just go away. This one... I'm not really done with it, so its hard to tell just yet.
Although I have a small electronic keyboard that I can connect via USB to my computer, and play note information into the system that way, I almost never actually do that. Most of the time I use the piano roll, and draw notes in one at a time. It is slow, but I like it that way.
I don't think you could play chopsticks properly with just a mouse, because the tune requires playing more than one note at a time, something that would be difficult, if not impossible, with a mouse.
