Hello all. I'm going to have another go at erotic writing having made one attempt a few years ago. http://www.literotica.com/s/barman-meets-bored-wife

This time I was wanting to base the story on an unexpected encounter with a female friend, which did happen, but make it a bit less clumsy than the actual sex we had!

Do you find it easier to write based on the truth or complete fiction? I know I need to work on the actual sex bits too!

Well, I'd say a lot of fiction has some truth to it, or is based off of something that actually happened. You can see something in real life, and alter it with some Fiction to end up with a good story.

Lets look at the Story Ideas about a Prostate exam, Nothing TRULY Sexual about one, but the stimulus, the arousal, throw in some Eroticism and you've got a good idea for an Erotic story.

Neither is truly better than the other, because different people will prefer different types of writings.

Some people like a story, which may be a fantasy they themselves have had, or a story that holds realism to it, or one that has been based on realism.

Others prefer something that is less realistic and more fantasy.

Even if you start a story on fiction, you can add some reality to that fiction. For example, a story about Power Outages, can include a real life trouble such as, Trapped in the Elevator.

There is no clear cut answer, No "pick this or that" there's, Which you prefer writing in! My own suggestion is to mix realism and Fiction together, some stories can be one or the other, others can be a mixture.

I don't think I've ever done a totally non-fiction story on Lit. Some are closely grounded in real events, but even those I enhance.

I find is usually best to stray from the truth a little. It would take a really good author to capture every little moment that leads up to a sexual encounter without it become boring.
