Sometimes I'm silly, sometimes I'm serious. Today, I'm a little bit of both.

What do you all think of the quote above? Do you agree with it? Do you disagree with it? Do you even understand what it is getting at?

numbers are fact, and not up to personal translation. whereas flavors.....well....vanilla may taste differently to you than to me. flavors can be layered, intensified, or bare ass naked. Numbers well, they're a given.

so what the quote is saying..is truth is in the eye of the beholder...If I withhold information...am I lying? you're asking what the definition of truth is....truth is what you want it to be...it's flavor, not fact.

Facts can be misconstrued, like polls. I can say 90 of all men polled hate women. But If I only poll gay men who were raped by female prison guards it adds a whole new perspective.

omg....somebody turn my brain off...it's getting deep in here.

btw, blackbird....I love your threads....almost feel like I'm stalking you....but if I want to think...I follow you.....

I'm glad you like. :)

... and if all stalkers were like you, hon, the world would be a better place! ;)

truth as flavors...?

To quote one of my favorite authors....

"Life is sheer ambiguity. Anyone who doesn't understand that is either an asshole or a fascist."

Baskin Robbins 33 flavors is false advertising ?

Truth can be accented by colors and feelings. But for me, ultimately, truth is finite and concrete. More numbers than flavors.

I think you are more silly than serious, my friend.

I think I have horrendous eye strain from trying to read that in white. I changed it to silver, it's the lit whispering color.

Oh, and I'm having a silly serious and seriously silly day, too.

*sighs* You haven't earned strawberries. Strawberries are for the girls that take my thread seriously. Just ask perky - she has a batch of chocolate covered strawberries on their way RIGHT NOW! :p :D

Humph. What about me? I took it seriously, and I don't have any berries at all.
What a cheapskate. ;)
