It would ruin it if she leaves, yes but that wasn't really what I meant. I was thinking more like it would ruin his headspace, you know?
But I guess there can be lots of ways to spin it?

He was (in my opinion) a bit of a lunatic. Ultra possessive, insecure, and unreasonably jealous. The truth was that he simply didn’t have the nerve to tell others guys to back off so took the easier route of blaming her.

a) I never ruled out that the OP guy is just a lunatic.

b) The important difference is that most likely that guy you describe didn't arrange the social gatherings specifically and under his control and permission - that guy sounds like he would would rather try to prevent them. That again is consistent behavior.

Sure. A not uncommon type.

But this guy was actually very social. And quite popular. While I certainly thought he was a nut, I was in the minority.

I'm not sure human behavior is necessarily always consistent. But, perhaps he had some offbeat verbal humiliation thing going on.

If you believe that aliens scan your brain, then making a tinfoil hat is completely consistent behavior. Believing that aliens scan your brain, but not taking any measures - that would be inconsistent.

How you view that behavior as outsider from your own perception, where aliens don't scan his brain, is a completely different matter.
