I have major trust issues when words and actions don't match up. Patience and understanding aside, you either are, or aren't my friend. Treat me wrong once and it's game over.

People either understand why the trust-o-meter gets irreparably broken, or they don't.
Those of us who long since ran out of warranty on ours, simply deal. And while anyone can sit there and give me their opinion on how I'm " hurting myself"...God help them if they ever have to go through what I went to get here.
I'll be more than happy to spoon feed them their bullshit back to them, and see if they still agree....

Friends I'd alibi if needed. I just do not have a lot of them.
And I refuse to be someone I'm not, to try and collect a merry weather lot or win any popularity contest. (In case that wasn't crystal clear.
