Trump's Red Wave

You might missing what seems to be developing into the blue wave that was projected. Flipped Democratic House seats are at 37 of the "blue wave target of 40" and still unfolding. Some Senate and Governor races have tightened up too. We'll see. We'll also see if there's anything left to govern in seven weeks.

A wave would imply something that wasn't the norm. What happened was pretty much the norm.
I do wonder what may have happened to the senate without the caravan and if he had fired Sessions before the election. That might have been more interesting.
Oh well. Not like anything changes anyway. I was just hoping for more fun but it ended up rather boring.
Now for a couple years of Trump spewing hatred at everyone who even thinks about running against him. And it'll probably work so that means 6 more years of Trump TV and Trump Online and that shit is getting really old.

Back when they had the house and senate they didn't do shit.

It isn't. Dems gained more House seats than in any election since 1976.

More importantly...women left the Republican Party in every demographic group by double percentage points other than black Republican women (which was near zero to begin with).

It is if you look at the big picture instead of just how many house seats they got.

The fact that (D)'s didn't do any better says a lot, the division didn't move it just got deeper.

The fight is in the suburbs.....working/middle class suburbs for the (R)'s and the (D)'s it's out in the rural/small town America.

First one to figure that out and go for it wins 2020.

How many coal jobs has Donald brought to those states?

How many new Ag markets has Donald opened up in those states?

How many new manufacturing plants has he opened?

Dems don't have to do anything...

They have to do something. Trump's base is, regrettably, still alive, and apparently too stubborn-stupid to be disillusioned by his unkept promises.

His base will never leave him. You can't save lemmings. He was elected simply because people believed his lies and promises. Those people, will, and already are, abandoning him. It starts with women.

Always an excuse, isn't there? The most House seats flipped in 40 years and all we hear is, "NuH uH!!"

Rohrbacher just lost his seat by four percentage points. Add another one to the list. There are at least three other seats looking to go to the Democrats which means an even larger number margin of victory.

I know you can't think about anything but Trump, and you hate him so much you can't think about anything else, but none of that has anything to do with anything I said.

Dems don't have to do anything...

Then they will continue to be blue dots with majority vote and minority power.

Because "We want to take all your shit because we've decided we need to check your white male privileges you white Nazi cis scum." isn't going to win over alllllll that red.

We don't need to win all that Red ...only two states. And we already have those in hand as of 2018. Called the Electoral College in case you don't know how a president is elected. You won the presidency without a majority...this time we will win it with a majority.

Always an excuse, isn't there?

Reality isn't an excuse.

The most House seats flipped in 40 years and all we hear is, "NuH uH!!"

I never disputed that, you need to learn to read.

And you still don't have

The SCOTUS
The Senate
The WH
The governors houses.
The state legislatures.
The county/municipal councils.

Like I said, the big picture is (D)'s got a long fucking way to go before they start crowing about a "Blue wave".

And no different than the (R)'s not pulling the social conservative sticks out of their ass's if the (D)'s don't stop with the "We want to take all your shit and tell you how to think" authoritarian bull + fuck white people campaign or bigotry they are in love with they are not going to improve their standing.

The divide of 2016 got deeper and more bitter. First party to stop the radical bullshitting and court the middle ground is going to win.

We don't need to win all that Red ...only two states.

To win the WH, which would be hotly contested right now unless you guys run someone worth a shit, which is also unlikely.

And we already have those in hand as of 2018.

Oh yea, totally in the bag, just like 2016.

How many times is the left's unfounded arrogance going to fuck them before they get a clue?

Campaign socialist never do.....

You won the presidency without a majority...this time we will win it with a majority.

Not if you don't win SOME shit outside your dark blue bubbles, otherwise it will be another 2016.

Big cities blue....everything else red? Blue looses.

You can't overlord the country via NYC, Baltimore, Boston, DC, Denver, Chicago, LA, SF and Seattle.

Even with 200 million more votes, ya got to have more than just the major metro cores.

it's called the Electoral College in case you don't know how a president is elected. ;)

Nate's predictions....I know republicans don't like stats...but this is the best there is out there. Pretty much hit that one out of the park didn't he? Maybe try reading the demographic change that happened (he has several articles on it)...

Well, I'm a liberal, not a (R)epublican.

Because they are flimsy....how'd that 2016 run work for the know it all stat slingers???:D

Ain't the first time.....won't be the last.

your touted "majorities" days are numbered.

Yes, as would be expected at some point the (R)'s will not be in power anymore.

And then they will be back in power.....and then not....and again....and then not.

Of course you can, if turnout is low in the countryside.

But, it's not the Dem way to discourage anyone from voting.

Look at where the votes came from for the House turnover. What you don't seem to see, is that Donald has alienated every demographic group other than uneducated white males. For two years, the Republican Party has fallen in lockstep with the president, ignoring his blatant lies. Will they change now? If not...this is a forgone conclusion.

By the way Botany Boy...do you like how every Republican State voted to expand Medicare if it was on the ballot. 100%. Damn Socialism...even republicans love it.

Countryside voter turnout is already low.

It belongs to (R)'s as much as inner city urban areas are (D)'s.

The other side isn't taking them....the fight is along the edges of the suburbs.

Look at where the votes came from for the House turnover.

Hillary voters that regret not voting last election.

What you don't seem to see, is that Donald has alienated every demographic group other than uneducated white males.

That was known back in 2016.

And not really, he just doesn't have the majority of not-white not-male. There are still a lot of non-white not-males who support him despite the lefts best efforts to demonize anyone not voting for them as Nazi scum/supporters.

For two years, the Republican Party has fallen in lockstep with the president, ignoring his blatant lies. Will they change now? If not...this is a forgone conclusion.

Just like the (D)s!! Who will condone and ignore all their precious icons bullshit.....partisan hackery ain't just a Republican thing.

Only thing (R)'s need to do is play nice and let the (D)'s put on a show of how vindictive and shitty they can be.

Make them turn down their own HC and immigration plans to spite Trump.

Medicare isn't socialism.....you need to go back to school son. ;)
