Trump Would Let Russia Attack NATO

45 is aligned with Putin that NATO is his enemy

I believe he would give Putin NATO intelligence that would help him attack NATO

NATO, by it's nature, is anti authoritarian
Current news articles say he will attempt a withdrawal from NATO if elected. I found a 2023 item that would make that difficult:

Lawmakers stuffed a provision into the Pentagon funding bill that makes it all but impossible for Trump to leave NATO [2023 bill]

The bill requires a 2/3 vote to withdraw.

Nice to know some built-in protections exist.

If I was American, I'd rather have Biden making mistakes. At least the team surrounding him could help stop most of these mistakes from coming to fruition!

Trump is a danger and shouldn't be anywhere near the presidency.
All the more reason why you should butt out and let Americans handle their own business.

He promises a ton of shit daily.

If his audience were cannibals, he's promise to sacrifice the Democratic party for his celebration dinner.

America should not be the check writer of the world, nor the chief financiers of the defense of those that won't defend themselves

Agreed. US citizens often complain about lack of things like public health care in their country and point to European countries that have it.

One of the reasons said countries can so easily afford it is because they've shrugged off their defense spending and let the US pick up the tab.

This might give the US large amounts of strategic and political advantages, but in turn gives rise to the enormous military industrial complex that makes war a great profit engine for the political elites. While crushing the masses under taxes, debt, and minimal if any dedication to local issues/infrastructure for the US population.

For example, regardless on whether one agrees with something like a US southern border wall to combat illegal immigration and criminal activities, it's funny how funding it was supposedly an issue, when if the issue was funding war and bombs, the US writes blank cheques without blinking.

When's the last time any US politician, leader or political party said "We'd go to war or deliver weapons, but we just can't afford it."

A while back I posted a list of NATO members who were paying their share of costs. It was damn few.
I didn't ask you the question.

Paying their share has nothing to do with defending themselves.

Regarding spending - there has been a significant change since 2014.

So in 2022 it was 8 members out of 30 meeting their requirement and in 2023 it rose to 10.

That leaves two-thirds of Nato all wanting to be protected but not paying their agreed-upon share of costs. They expect us to do it. That's why I believe that Nato is a paper tiger. In fact, a herd of much smaller cats who will begin to meow when the dying starts.
