It's funny how Trump now can't get out of the way of his own side. He's busy denigrating early voting, because that's essential to his narrative that he won in 2020, but in so doing, he might very well hurt the Republicans' best chance, and not only for down-ballot races (much to their frustration), but his own contest. If I were the GOP leaders, I'd be livid. Trump could accidentally cause Harris to win. They really backed the wrong horse here, but they're stuck with him for now. Their best chance for a future as a party is for him to lose, and lose badly enough that he's done, even if they have to take a hit in some down-ballot contests in the process and have to endure four more years of a Democratic White House.
