I just have to share this special day. My baby girl turned 6 today. I woke her up with kisses and tickles and hubby sang happy birthday to her. I swear I almost cried. Tonight we're going to grandma's house for pizza and a yummy ice cream cake from Dairy Queen. She is going to be so tickled.

Saturday she's having a slumber party. I will be in the presence of at least 10 girls under the age of 10. Just me, hubby is taking the boys away for the night so we can have an all-girls night. My daughter is extremely excited. I am terrified. LOL I'm still so used to the boys that I'm scared to be in the room with that many girls by myself.

We returned from NY last night after a visit with my family and attending the wedding of a good friend from college! This was the first time my parents met Nigel and it went great! A quick post and run.....

Just a poor sleep deprived student checking in. I do fear this term will do me in....totally crazy. I'm averaging 12-14 hours on campus; granted that also includes my work in the lab, but damn! And of course there is the never ending homework.....and I was complaining about spending every other weekend last term in homework jail.....this term looks like every waking hour

I did get a huge surprize Monday, the head of the Graphic Arts Department pulled me aside and told me I had been selected for this year's Graphic Design scholarship! That makes 2 for this year...one for grades and one for my work. The 2 scholarships has covered my tution, books and even enough left over to buy a Mac. If I wasn't so tired, I'd be doing a happy happy dance.

Anyone heard from Brian? we all know how misery likes company.......and it's alway nice to have a fellow inmate to vent with
