He's working nights, so we get a good chance to speak each morning. I confessed that I gave away his age, so he pretended to be upset (even though I'm the "old" one!)

The truth is that nobody realizes we're almost "seniors" even when they see us! Guess love can be a fountain of youth!

Never been through a divorce, but Oman has. It must be a lousy deal, especially when there are children involved.

I just received notice that I was selected as a "Foundation Scholar"!!!!!!!! And the honor includes a very nice check to help with the cost of this year's tution and such Just had to share the good news with all those who put up with my whining and bitching.

And wouldn't you know, I also got "Mr. Anal" again this coming term....my 4th and hopefully, final class with him. But right now the biggest problem is figuring out what to wear to the Foundation's lunchen.........

Congratulations on quitting smoking! You'll be so happy you did- and so much healthier(not to metion wealthier) for it.

I suppose I said I suck because I'm upset with myself for putting on blinders and seeing what I wanted to see- not the actual facts. I know that it's his issue, but after the same thing happens to you a few times, you have to wonder if there is a problem with YOU and take a good look in the mirror. I just don't know what's going to happen, and being on uncertain ground always makes me very anxious. We'll see what develops. I have decided that if he wants casual, he'll get casual. I'm taking a huge step back and let him figure things out.

Gina...Im sorry you are having a difficult time. Love really can suck at times, but that does not mean you "suck". Whatever his issue is, its his issue. I know that it does not take away the feelings involved that hurt but I encourage you to not let his issues dictate how you feel about yourself. Just some of my thoughts!

Jenny -- I hope you are surviving ok....Know that we are here for you to keep you company! And Holy Cow! I had no idea about your age....As I have told Oman before -- y'all seem like an enigma because we never seem to have any "personal details"...

Gina I feel for you. I am in a similar situation. Have never really been lucky in love and then thought that I was, but then suddenly after 2 yrs he wants to just be friends at least for the time being. Not exactly sure where we are or what we are doing. We always said that we would at the very least be friends. He is a great guy and I guess I would rather have a wonderful friend than nothing at all. Hang in there.

Thanks Toni I hope I'll always have him for a friend too no matter what happens otherwise.

Today isn't going any easier. Was on the receiving end of a Godsmack this morning. Sleep late, was up taking a shower when my cell rings, it's my boss.

"Where are you?"

"I'm running late."

"Oh, I got some good news and bad news." Ok, waiting for the sucker punch here.

"What's the good news?"

"I just saved a bunch of money on my insurance by switching to Geico." followed by a belly laugh. "The bad news is we got broken into again last night and this time they *did* get your radio. How soon can you get here?"

Fuck, "I'm on my way."


I hurry up and get dressed, run out to my car. The front right tire is completely flat.

The friggin' Universe is out to get me today.

... and second, while slipping into the shower with you is something I would treasure deeply, what I would really like to slip into is not your shower ... I'd rather slip into you ... repeatedly ...
