I just have to share this with you wonderful people.

My 12 year old son was selected as 1 of 5 kids in their entire school to participate in a district-wide Spelling Bee. The Spelling Bee was last night, there were 8 schools there....5 kids from each school. Grades 5-8. He came in 3rd place!!!!!!! The 2 kids that beat him were last year's 1st and 2nd place winners!!! Not bad for his first time, huh??? OMG....I had tears in my eyes afterward.

My mom was there too. She is almost completely deaf and we figured she wasn't going to be able to hear anything, but she wanted to be there to support him anyway. Well, one of the kids got the word "siege" and she looked at me and said, "I hate that word, it always stumps me." She could hear the words being given to the kids, but she couldn't hear the kids spelling the words!!! Then afterwards I met my son's teacher and heard nothing but praises about him. What a wonderful night!

Oh...the word he misspelled was 'mariachi'....but the round before that he spelled 'chrysalis' correctly....go figure.

I am at this moment, probably at the lowest point of my life. Today could not get worse. Someone at work went to management and file a sexual harrassment charge against. I have no idea who. Since I could not disprove it, I was fired. I can never work for this company again. After 5 years with tham and never a complaint, I was fired for something I would never do. I don't even get the right to know who did it. Nothing. I feel like someone ripped my heart out. I doubt I ever get over this.

Never did like Wally World and now? Despise it. My heart is sad and heavy for you..... another fellow Lit member was fired today as well and I am SO sad.....

I'd seriously consider contacting a lawyer in regards to discrimination however. Just a thought.

A Co-worker asked if I knew what to do about a computer problem that was preventing her from getting e-mail. After calling the help desk, I told my colleague that e-mail was being delayed to check for a computer virus.

Missing Words

I put pen to paper, often at night.

How many words have I typed in my life?
Only to be targets of my internal strife?
From my fingers they flow in the pixels soft glow,
Words aplenty and so few apropos.

I churn them right out, typing madly it seems.
If I really used paper, I'd be using up reams!
