May have to take a rain check on the conversation. How are you at hurricane shutters? Got a nasty storm fixing to hit us head on. Prediction is it will be a cat 1 hurricane when it knocks on my back door. With the Gulf temp at 90, That storm could intensify very quickly before coming ashore.

no good at hurricane shutters have never had to do that but I could learn.....HA
well what I have seen on the weather is still a tropical storm with a LOT of rain not the best but better than a hurricane

I have seen tropical storms do more damage than a cat 2 hurricane; all depends where they hit. Fay came ashore 3 counties south of me and never did make it to hurricane status. Looks like a small wind and rain event in my neck of the woods. And the upside is these storms suck the humidity out of the environment leaving behind a couple of very pleasant days.

Sorry Hon, swamped with work. Made it through the storm - an entire week long event. I didn't think that bitch would ever die Made land fall 4 freaking times! And she didn't even take the humidity

We have been getting a ton of rain and 30-40 mile winds - it was a trip crossing a large bridge yesterday 3 more storms coming down the pike. Next 4 weeks will be the worst of the season and then things will slow down.

How are things in your end of the world?

has been reaal good here mid 90's lite breeze and clear blue skies.....have done some riding on my HD........going to grill ribs out today.........

This is the price for living in paradise - a couple of months out of the year, Mother Nature has extreme PMS No matter where you choose to make your home, there is always a downside to the location. If nothing else, I get to use my girl scout training and always be prepared. Oh wait, that is boy scout training........we baked cookies
