Thank you, I'm feeling a bit better this afternoon.

No, I haven't talked with him in quite awhile. Its a little concerning, but I haven't been around much either so I've just chalked it up to him being busy. I sincerely hope he is ok. Frankly, I have missed seeing him around.

I've stopped by here at TC every so often, and haven't seen him post since July or so...and while he has been known to go *poof* for a while, he has always shown back up within a month or so. This had been way too long even for him and I'm getting concerned. And yep, I'm missing him too....he has such a beautiful way with words.

So, did you ever get your studio set up and start painting again? I have found those quick drying oils pretty damn good and the smell is way less than the traditional stuff.

Lusty, I must confess I have not been good about painting. I recently acquired two large easels, custom built. They are beautiful! It makes my heart race sometimes when I look at them - they are so beautifully worn and have been used by a very good artist and friend's father. I also got some new canvases. Still, I am struggling. But the new year brings many promises to myself...including to get going where painting is concerned.

I just wanted to mention something that Jeff, in particular, might get excited about. I recently saw a promotion for a Star Wars Rock Tribute Band.

Some of their song lyrics include the following:

"Hans Solo can't help with my fate,
he's still blind from the carbonate..."

Apparently, one of their members will be appearing on the reality show Beauty and the Geek. I could totally see Jeff becoming their groupie...

And I should mention that Nigel pointed out that its not "carbonate", but rather "carbonite". He was very disappointed that the "geek" got it wrong. Y'all are a bunch of Star Wars goobers....

Sometimes you just get in a creative funk. I haven't picked up a paint brush since I left school almost a year ago; just nada on any creative ideas or desire. I hadn't given it much thought until I was at a xmas party for our local art guild a few weeks ago (I'm their webmaster) and was asked if I had time for my own work...... I looked around and I was the only one there without anything hanging in the gallery. So I like you, made a promise to myself for this new year to get back in the studio and do something even if it's only a black canvas with a white dot in the middle.

The sad thing is that the majority of that list (including myself) hardly ever post in here anymore. I have only really started posted again in the last couple of weeks.

What a place this used to be. *sigh* A lot has changed. And a lot has changed for so many of us.

The only constant in life is change. Everyone and everything is a vibrating energy.....if we were to stop the constant, we would cease to be. And I too long for the way things were around here......but you can't go home again.

However, that doesn't mean we can't build a fine new home. We all come back to this place even if it's only to lurk for a moment or two. It's up to us to build the embers up to a roaring fire again, or to simply let the glow fade away.
