Hi everyone...

I just wanted to take a minute to stop in and say hello. I miss you guys! Things have been busy here... my daughter is not doing well. She has had four episodes of vomiting (for 5 days each time) in the past two months. I took her to a pediatric GI doctor this past Friday, and she goes in for the whole barium/upper GI test on Thursday. She has had to have her blood taken a couple of times... she is such a trooper. Needless to say, I am very worried about her and nervous and probably a bit irrational on top of that. She has lost a lot of weight and is just not herself lately.

There are some things going on in my personal life as well that need my attention, but it is hard right now.

I hope you are all doing well and things are working out for everyone.

((DOS))

Your post made me come out of lurk mode for the moment. I don't think anything in life is scarier then when your child is sick. Please hang in there, and keep us updated if you get the chance. My thoughts are with you.

:rose:

I haven't been around in forever, but I just have to let you know I'm keeping you and your daughter in my thoughts and prayers.

Confession time

DOS... you and your daughter are in my prayers as well.

I want to thank Happy and SS and ALL the other TCers who have continued wishing me well, and keeping me in their mantras and thoughts. I truly appreciate it. :rose:

I believe Oman will have a job by the end of this week. He has a whole day of interviews and applications and tests scheduled for Wednesday; I'm sure something good will come through.

I miss posting a lot, but we've been keeping the phone lines open, and Oman gets priority on the PC right now! ;)

Hope all of you manage to get over the hump of the workweek, and thank you again for always remembering me.

Update

Hi everyone. Thank you all so much for your thoughts and well wishes. I took her for her testing on Thursday and the doctor called on Friday to say that everything looks fine on her films. He suggested that if the vomiting starts again, he will likely send her for a head scan. She seems to have perked up quite a bit in the past couple of days.

Happy Weekend everyone! Sorry I haven't been here in awhile...

Dreamy -- I am so glad to hear that your daughter is doing better. :rose: I am sure you are very relieved. I will keep good thoughts that her health continues to improve.

Oman -- you are too cute! Have you had any luck on the job front? I know how difficult it can be..Jenny, you are so supportive. He has the best!

FIESTY!!! LTNS!!! Glad you stopped in! How are things???

TantaLiza -- you are another one that is far too absent from this thread. I hope you are happy and that your daughter isn't giving you too much grief!

Hellos to the rest of the gang....Have a most enjoyable weekend.

Holy Cow!

Seems there's been a lot of changes around Lit! I'm trying to figure out how to navigate it now.

I guess that's what I get for being away so long.

Danny and I are doing great. We've made some major changes in our lives (work-wise) over the last few months, which took us through some lean times in order to be better off in the long run. Everthing has fallen into place wonderfully now and we seem to be all caught up. In the meantime, we kinda had to be strict with ourselves and let a few things go, like internet access.

Now we are both working together at a great office. He managed to get me hired on as his assistant his 2nd week there. I'm so proud of him...they were so impressed with him in such a short amount of time they offered whatever he needed to help him keep up all his good work...so they hired me and matched his pay!! Woohoo!

This is also making wedding plans realistic. So, starting now, I get to be bridal again. :D

My mom had some serious health issues in the months following my brother's loss, which ended in a hospital stay (long story). And I was very wrapped up in worrying for her for awhile, but all is much better there now too.

So, it's been a year and 8 months (give or take) since I packed all my belongings into storage and moved away from N. Calif. to the Bay Area and then ultimately all the way to Florida. I came here with what I could fit in two suitcases and mailed myself two other boxes of junk I'd accumulated in the couple of months with my family. Everythings been in storage since. Well, it still is...but we finally had it brought here! I'm so happy and thrilled and relieved. Now the task of sorting through it all and holding a great big yard sale to get rid of all that Danny and I have replaced since I've been here. But still it's gonna be like Christmas to go through it all.

I think of you all often, and hope to be able to check in more often now that we're back up and running. As my family you are each in my prayers all the time!

Sorta!! Its wonderful to see you. :rose: I'm glad things are much better with your mom -- you have suffered such great loss already I am glad you did not have to endure another so soon (or at all!)

I totally relate to the unpacking thing. Nigel and I went back to Texas in January and finally collected all of my things out of storage and got my dog. Its been an absolute joy to have my dog back! And it was like Christmas to find things that I had packed away so long ago too. Its helped to make me feel like our new house has "both of us" in it. But it took me a good month to get through it all. So I empathize....

It's wonderful to hear how good things are. We've somewhat been living parallel lives the past year and I'm glad that we are both in great places!

Artist: Sister Sledge Lyrics
Song: We Are Family Lyrics

(CHORUS:)
We are family
I got all my sisters with me
We are family
Get up ev'rybody and sing

Ev'ryone can see we're together
As we walk on by
(FLY!) and we fly just like birds of a feather
I won't tell no lie
(ALL!) all of the people around us they say
Can they be that close
Just let me state for the record
We're giving love in a family dose

(CHORUS x2)

Living life is fun and we've just begun
To get our share of the world's delights
(HIGH!) high hopes we have for the future
And our goal's in sight
(WE!) no we don't get depressed
Here's what we call our golden rule
Have faith in you and the things you do
You won't go wrong
This is our family Jewel

Hi! SIS! :nana: :nana:
Long time no see!
Glad you are back with us! and things are going great!

NG,one of my other sis! im glad you feel more like you are at home now because you have your belongings. I was going to say all three of us were living in parrallel universes until you mentioned you got through ALL your boxes! GEEZ, we still havent after 3 years! LOL,keep finding something else to do!
On the job front,I took a job that doesnt pay anything just to have some funds coming in and contribute to our household income until I find something better!
Now, if someone gives me a penny for my thoughts it would double my income! :D

Now,if only my third sis, would show up here!JEWELZ where are you?

Oman, the only reason why all of the boxes got unpacked is because of my obsessive-compulsive-anal-retentive personality. I couldn't bear to see them lying about the house...

Re: the job....I'm glad you got something. You do what you need to do till the right one comes along. We have all had to do that at one point or another.

I hope you and Jenny are enjoying your Sunday. :rose:

Way to go Oman. I'm in a deadend job at the moment too. I'm wanting to go back to school for computer science and then look for a better job. Until then, I'm suplamenting my income by building computers for people I work with. That helps.

Hi Kiki!!!

Very smart route to take. You have always struck me as a very intelligent person on all levels...and your nac for computers just proves it!

Hello everyone ...

It's been a classic Denver week for the weather ... cold one day, moderate and breesy the next (that's still cold!), gale force winds one night, two days of absolutely gorgeous sun ... and this morning ... five inches of snow over night. Several plants in my yard are a bit upset!!

Nice to see so many people stopping in and very happy to see DOS's daughter is on the improve.

ciao ...
