Hon, it is freaking cold everywhere! At 9AM the temp here is a very chilly 45 - high today is supposed to be a whopping 64. Burr, just freaking burr. Upside is, I can finally light a fire in the fireplace

Sticky Buns???? Homemade sticky buns rings my chimes! I got a recipe that is extremely close to Cinna-buns and it is made in the bread machine for the most part.

You do have a point, nothing is worth being away from you And the place was just a few hours north so yeah, it was pretty nice weather.

I may not need a reason to light up the fireplace if you were here, but just think of the two of us lying in front of it, sharing a nice bottle of wine and listening to soft jazz..............

I rather liked "Dark Knight" - of course I didn't see the other batman films. I actually saw it twice; the second time was in IMAX. I never had experienced an IMAX before and thought the movie should be killer. I wasn't impressed enough to pay the additional $$$ to do IMAX again. I thought the guy who did the joker did an outstanding job.

The cinnamon roll bread dough recipe came out of Mother Earth news... It can be stored in fridge for up to 2 weeks. Not sweet. Many more uses.. I made pizza crust with it as well as the buns and a loaf of bread.. Nothing makes the house smell homier than fresh baked bread..

Ledger took the role and made it his. The only Batman I had seen before this movie was the TV stuff and the Joker while entertaining, just didn't come across as a villain. But then again the TV stuff was comic relief. Ledger made the Joker someone to fear. And I went to the movie for the special effects - hard to find a movie any more than isn't a remake so I wanna see the cool stuff.

Mother Earth News??? Is that still around? I used to read that cover to cover and thought it was the bible Haven't seen a copy in forever, bookstores here dont carry it. May just have to see what I can find online. I've gotten pretty good at adapting recipes for my gadgets. Yeah, I know, bad for the carbon foot print - but I'm a gadget freak, what can I say

I'm just taking a break from all the Obama hoopla - I swear one of the most beautiful sites I have seen was Bush flying off in the helicopter. As a rule I don't bother with politics, but he was a bad President and we are all better off with him gone.

Sunny Florida is overcast, windy and currently a chilly 56. Weatherman promises this is the last cold blast for the year - I hope so as my baby maters need some warmth!

Yes, a gadget freak. Power tools, kitchen goodies, puter goodies, sound systems - you name it I probably got it. Oh - you meant THOSE kind of gadgets Just a couple - my favorite is one that was sent to me a few years back........

GAdgets ya know.. like a Kitchenaid Mixmaster.. and a (dont know the proper name).. it is a hand held with 6 small stiff wires curled down. I use it to make biscuits mashing up the butter in the flour. I found this one at an antique store (Yes, it's over 18 yrs old. so it's legal). Oh, thats women.

I dont have many gadgets.. most are my hands, something about mixing meat loaf or bread dough with your hands... feeling the textures... the suppleness.. but being gentle not to break the gluten... :blush:


puter still has a 56k modem so it's kinda slow..

Now Power tool I got.. aarrggh aarrggh aarrggh. Just wish I had opportunity to use them more often.

Looks like we are playing tag today......

Of course it will get worse before it gets better. There is no simple solution for any of the problems this country is currently dealing with. But what the new President brings is something we haven't had for a long time; hope.

I LOVE my kitchen-aid, couldn't handle the holidays without it, and my bread machine and my ice machine and the 88 other gadgets that call my kitchen home. There are a few like the yogurt maker and the cappuccino maker that don't get used much, but they are there should I ever need them If you are talking about a pastry cutter, couldn't make biscuits without one. I will admit to having a great recipe for pie dough ala food processor that I use when time is at a premium

I haven't use my power tools much of late either. Seems there is always a client needing something. One of these days I will get my kitchen remodeling done.....or hire a good handy man
