I'm really into the second season. Which means they'll probably kill it after next year. I like most of the HBO programming. That's all I have now is HBO. But I get about six of them. The only thing I miss really on Showtime is the L Word. I just saw that L is no more. I can buy the last two seasons on ebay or amazon I guess.

I don't get the human/vampire relationship thing. Wouldn't that be like kissing a cold dead person? And do they fuck? Would a vampire's pussy get wet with blood like her tears? If so she'd have to wear a tampon every day.

I LOVE that show. And I love Bill and Eric but Sookie can get on my nerves. And there's so much going on right now that I just wanna find out everything. I saw a really long preview randomly on HBO yesterday. I think it had the rest of season 2 packed into it and man, there's a lot of weird stuff that's going to happen. I hope it doesn't get canceled. I need to read the books like everyone else. I only just read the first one.

Yeah I just saw tonight that it was based on a book series. The south is fucked up enough without adding vampires.

Is it a show about redneck vampires? (I don't have TV).

Now that has potential!

I enjoy it... like WD, I got into it late.

The new red-headed vampire chick is REALLY fucking hot.

The vampires are everywhere and have vampire rights. The show takes place mainly in Louisiana and Texas.

The books are much better for me.

The first season of the show was like a car wreck. I had to look. I couldn't stop watching but it wasn't really what I wanted it to be.

I was deeply offended at the way it showed us Southerners. When reading the books I never once thought, red neck, or white trash but that's what they put out there on the screen.

The theme song and opening is really good but the opening sequence is also disturbing to me. I sometimes can't watch it.

I hate most of the casting done on the show so far. I've never liked Bill in the books or on the show.

Eric is supposed to look like a viking, not the vapid cover of a romance novel.

I confess, I've changed Pam in my own mind to be a hot, Domme with short dark haired not a soccer mom! Her casting is actually more in keep with the description in the books but her actions screamed Domme to me!

Sookie, well, I'm just trying to get used to the actress they cast in that part. She has appeal but she is certainly not what I expected. She's no Lauren Hutton. That gap bothers me!

The accents are horrible. My fav last season was the pseudo Cajun one but it wasn't right either.

However, the second season has MUCH better writing. The characters and stories are becoming much more layered.

I'm so happy Lafayette has survived. He and Tara are two of my favorite characters. Tara was barely in the books and she was not black. This one is a spit fire with enough back story you want to pull for her.

I'm happy at the departures and depth the writers are throwing into this season.

The red head is becoming very appealing on every level. Last season she was either irritating or comic relief depending.

I don't hate Jason as much now that he's not just doing sex scenes. I haven't watched the latest show but I'm hoping it will be the one that Jason breaks free of the church and realizes they don't hold the answers he was looking for. It's great to see him trying to find a place where he can be good and heroic. I can relate to how badly he wants to be taken care of and respected. I've known himbos like that.

I'm enjoying the mystery that is Marianne. The show I haven't yet watched show throw a wrench into her plans.

*crosses fingers*

I love that actress that plays Marianne.

What I want to see is Eric as much more respected and scary. Pam too needs to be seen that way. It's needed for story purposes down the line.

This second season is soooo much better than the first!

I got into it around the third/fourth season and watched every episode, and I felt they were right to end it at that point. The last season was kind of lackluster, honestly.
The new red-headed vampire chick is REALLY fucking hot.
Ooh, I like the sound of that. I loooove redheads.

I love true blood... I watch it with my guy and it leaves me horny and wanting to bite him... which he loves...

Thanks Fury I haven't watched the show yet because I thought it might clash with the books. Now I will spare myself the annoyance.

I wonder sometimes if the people from the entertainment industry have ever been to the south? Or maybe they think south central LA counts?

I love that Tara is reading Naomi Klein's "The Shock Doctrine" the first time we see her. I'm dying to know what Maryann has in store for her.

I used to find Jason Stackhouse unbearable too, especially when he was humping psycho girl, but his cute makes up for the dumb in the 2nd season.

Sookie also irritated me to no end in the 1st season. But I think both Jason and Sookie Stackhouse share these naive and innocent qualities that really lead them towards these unpredictable types. They are both searching for something and someone to belong to. I think this principle really clicked for me this season, particularly with Jason's participation in the church group.

Anyhow I like this show a lot. I don't have a tee vee, but my rooomate's genius boyfriend downloads torrents for me.

I loved the first season. The second will only be arriving here in Oz in a couple of months. I am looking forward to it. :D

I'm in love with it. I've read all the books except the very latest and I have people come over to watch it.

I love the character of Jessica. She's just adorable with Hoyt.

True Blood is the only must see program on tv
I look forward to every Sunday night aside from
Burn Notice.
I thought season 2 started out slow but
now it's all coming together.
Lafayette plays his part so well, I hope
he can overcome his Post Tramatic disorder
and be the Lafayette we all know and love.

We've been finding it online free but I think HBO also has shows for pay online on demand.

I agree! Jessica is adorable with Hoyt. She's the redhead I was thinking of.

:rose:

I enjoy the direction the show is taking. My best friend was over watching it with me and we both gasped and cried out when
*spoiler*
Sarah shot Jason
*end spoiler*

And both of us wanted to beat Andy Bellfluer into the stone age for harassing Lafayette when he was obviously having a PTSD attack. Though that could be because I was and she currently is military medical personnel.

Its an engaging show. Not quite as good at the books in some ways but they're going for a much larger target audience, so there has to be a give and take. Its all about the bottom line.

Anyone else really want the "Jesus asked me out tonight" song? I usually dislike Christian rock but I love the tune.

If you look closely Sarah shot him with a paint gun, blue paint pellet if memory serves me correctly.
