So what should we be wary of? I mean, what about pics that have the website and/or artist but nothing that says copyright or has the copyright symbol, like you would find on the free parts of a site? Would those be safe since your giving credit where credit's due and kinda advertising the site?

In general what you described sounds ideal. The credit where credit is due thing sounds like the most important part, to me. As a sometime-artist myself, I definitely feel dismayed when I see my work elsewhere without attribution.

Hmmm...Sounds like me a bit. I'm a firm believer in giving credit/blame where it's due. The last time I posted pictures, I did a batch of them and told everybody who the artist was so they could find more if they liked them. If I can't find the artist, then I'll give out the website. Well...Time to go find some pics.

Well, Never I am more a marvel nerd, than a DC nerd, but I love Frank Millers work in the Dark Night, since I have both comics But I didn´t know about the Stephanie Brown. But I don´t consider Frank Millers DC comic books as the "vanilla" DC. And second of all, check in the first page of this topic, and there you will see, that I knew about the Frank Miller girl robin.

Have you ever seen Venus Envy? It's not a comic book comic, but a comic strip with transgendered main characters - very clever, most of the time, too.
