It's called "small government conservatism". Basically this philosophy means that whenever conservatives find something "icky" or offensive it's time to use big government tactics to swoop in and force insurance companies, doctors, and patients to get in line with their delicate sensibilities.

I'm doing my 2013 budget today. I have X amount of dollars and a list with N number of projects I wanna do. Like...I gotta trim the trees in the back yard, to keep their limbs away from the roof, and afford more sunshine for my guava trees. So I need a 12 foot scaffold.

Home Depot sells what I need for $900. But I can build a wood scaffold for less than $100. It will be handy when I replace my gable siding with new boards. And do I wanna use boards or T-111 plywood?

Then I gotta paint the house.

Its always something, and always comes with plenty of hard decisions.

When we pulled ours down from around the house, we asked the company if there was a price break for that sort of thing.

I prefer clapboards in every case. T-111 is ugly.
