Tranny Lover?

Interestingly enough, tat's the very thing a friend of mine who is just starting the transition (male to female) said -- when I asked why she wanted to be a woman, she said, point blank "Because I can do it better". And I smiled and nodded and said "Oh, I can't wait until you have hormones, too."

What an interesting theory, and what an interesting set of assumptions beneath it. Let's see ...

(1) There is one single right way to be female.
(2) No one born with female genitalia is actually doing it.
(3) It's her mission to correct roughly half of the world's population who apparently can't live their own lives.

Hmmm. Sounds popular. ;)

I'd have concern for someone with that particular motivation. It seems to me to be a more typically male response. Kind of like competition exists and is the motivator.

The response I think is best, is that I have gotten from my TS freind in Florida.

"Why do you want to be a woman?"

"I am a woman."

Yes. That's the one that works for me, on either side of the fence.

Yeah. I would have understood "Because I can to that better than I can do being a man." But it seems to be "Because I can to it better than women do." and that...is just odd.

I've only known one transsexual, (m to f) and her response to the question "why" was more understandable, but also quite worrying in a way: "Because I fail at being a man."

Ouch :(

During my SM activist days, there were two MTF I can remember especially. One, "C" presented as a butch dyke- a competitive wench, she was going to show us all a better way, not only of being a woman, but of being butch
"C" met a woman, who devestaetd her with her strapon skills, and they moved out to small-town suburbia. It kind of pissed off the dyke community that these two could get married if they wanted to- since "C" was legally male. There was a felling of "Cake and eat it too" that caused some coolness in the community.
Small-town suburbia, equally, did not feel comfortable with a radical dyke couple living amongst themselves. The couple broke up after a couple of years, and "C" moved back to town, somewhat sadder, and much more relaxed about herself and her role in dykedom, I'm glad to say.
Another time, (I've told this story before) I was taking the reservations for a women-only play party, and a young tranny walked up to me. She wanted to know what our standards would be for "women" I blithely trotted out the standard line; "If you can put it in a drawer and walk away from it, you pass"
Her eyes filled with tears, and she walked away. It took me a little time before I came to my senses, and sent a sub after her. Any girl who cries when she's disappointed- is a girl. She was adorable at the party, and SO eager to please....

Among the female-to-male trannies I've known, one absolutely set the bar for me as to how a gentleman should behave. Another was of the "scratch your balls and spit" school, and a royal pain in the ass- but is still with his GF through thick and thin, in sickness and health, and has been an admirable person overall.

Transvestites- that's a whole 'nother issue entirely. I cannot speak too generally about drag queens, but it seems to me that the actor's temperament tends to rule their reactions to real life. And usually, these are one-role actors, which is not emotionally healthy.
