Toys are great!!!
You won't find yourself waiting too long if you don't buy one I think.

I have a dildo and a vibrator. (I'm a horny, curious virgin, cut me some slack.) But, I love 'em. And they definitely come in handy for phonesex too. LMAO.

Anyways, like I said in some other post, no harm in trying it!
Have fun now

OK ladies(or guys)
I find myself 24 and single. With no intintions of dating soon. I have been with the same gut for 8 yrs! I am considering buying some "toys". But I have never used anything fake before.
So what do you folks think----is it better to hold out for the real thing or can pleasure be found in plastic? :O)

Melody, just a question. Being a "Horny Curious Virgin" witha Dildo AND a Vibrator (God damn!), is you hymen still intact?

Cheers,
MADDOG

Hell no. But, I actually had my hymen broken by a.....kinda embarrassing to say, but by a tampon.

probably more information than you cared to know, but the truth nonetheless.

From a male perspective...I say go for it with the toys! if you have a partner or don't, seems to me they would be a wonderful enhancememnt to your (sex) life.

And Melody...I get that wonderful pic and now I find out you enjoy both the dildo and vibrator. I think I am in love with you (or at least a strong case of lust).

I actually broke my vibrator, much to my own dismay. DO not ask me how I managed to pull that one off. Somehow I think that only I could, though

I was really kinda pissed when it happened too, because I didn't want to seem like some little slut going back to the sex shop just two weeks after I had been there. The looks young women get in those places is scary.

And I was kinda apprehensive about the whole deal anyway. BUt, a girl's gotta do what a horny girl's gotta do. So, I went back and got myself a shorter but thicker dildo instead. I think there was a thread about thickness as opposed to length, and I must say that I get much more pleasure from my shorter, thicker 'friend' than the longer, slimmer vibrating one.
But, that's just this little V's opinion!
Well, longest post ever for me. So, seeya

It seems Melody and I have alot in common.. I too am a "horny curious virgin" and I also have two vibrators.. but dammit I have broken both of them.. I really enjoy using my "toys"

Has anyone else heard of women not being able to obtain orgasm through overuse of vibrators? I remember reading somewhere about getting too used to the rapid vibrations they make and after a while manual stimulation just doesn't cut it.. I seem to recall a suggestion in the same source (a womans mag of some sort I'm sure) to use different techniques, positions and forms of stimulation ie. sometimes fingers only, sometimes the vibrator (penetrative, non penetrative, withdrawing before coming, inserting before coming.. all those sort of things) to stave off this threat..

Even if its not true, its something to keep in mind.. variety is the spice of life.

I've had both vibes and dildos. I much prefer the dildos. The vibes I had were hard plastic and well, the vibrating just didn't do it for me. I like the ones that are made out of a 'jelly' type material. Also, you can do mail (or would that be 'male'

) order or on-line ordering. I got mine from Adam and Eve.

Firesprite, do you still have my coat?

Hey Maddog, that's the best way to insure NO pain the first time you have sex. I found that out back in HS...

Firesprite,

It's possible to not be able to orgasm during intercourse if you do in fact get too used to vibrations. Hell, I think it happened to me. I got so used to getting off from vibrations on my clit, that I have a difficult time getting off on intercourse by itself. The best way to fix that problem is to NOT turn your vibe on (or try a dildo), or find new erogenous zones on your body. I found out in an unusual way that my hip was actually an erogenous zone...!

Uhhmm Tiggs, just a little "side note" - I never in my whole life used a vibrator (or any toys to be honest, but a few treads around the BB did encourage me to get some now *winks*) ... and I too (as do many women from all I know) do have problems cuming if I do not get stimulation (or do it myself) on my clit during penetration ... so I do doubt seriously it has to do with "over use" of any toys, but is just the way many of us are "built"

I have to agree with Hecate, a goodly number of women who have never used any sort of toys can not orgasm from vaginal stimulation alone. Overuse of vibrators is a myth. It is used to make sure women enjoy their sexuality, but just not too much. Dr. Betty Dodson, the Queen of Self-Love, is a great resource for women's sexuality.

I am also a virgin, but I love my toys. I started to use a vibrator years ago and my newest toy is something called the "beaver". It is fantastic! There is a rotating shaft as well as a little beaver with a vibrating tongue for the clit. Nothing like having that shaft moving inside of me while the beaver is eating me. I never thought about the hymen. I assume I never had one, or that it broke when I was young and I don't remember the event.

Hecate, I'm sorry to have to tell you this, but it has been proven before. In some women when they get used to the vibrations, they have trouble cumming during vaginal sex. They get so used to getting off with the help of a vibrator... Granted, I know what you were trying to say. There are several women out there who can't cum during basic vaginal sex.
