toy help

I would suggest a decent size rabbit for plan a and have a decent dildo for plan b as back up. I'm not sure where you are located but try going through literotica store site and see if you like anything. My advice is to always buy one size bigger because for some reason whenever I get some in a small I always wish I have bottom it in a size bigger.

I just looked at a couple since you didn't provide any links, and I'd suggest staying away from anything that takes AAA batteries. You really need a minimum of 3 AA or 3 C batteries to power most rabbits properly, unless they're really wimpy in the first place (be forewarned that many toys are). You may also want to consider investing in some rechargeable batteries, since multifunction toys and vibes in general can eat them up pretty quickly.

Also, if you're going to spend $25 on a rabbit-type toy, look for one that's pthalate-free because many people find pthalates to be irritating and they may pose health risks. You can--and probably should--use a condom with any toy that's made of a very porous material like jelly/jelly rubber or cyberskin-type stuff, but if you're unwilling to do that and jelly is all you can afford, at least get a higher quality jelly.

Thanks for posting that! I had wondered at times why I became irritated or felt burning with certain toys, even to the point that I had to throw a fwe out. What a waste of money!

Here is my question:

Does anyone know of a small, very quiet vibrator? Basically what I am looking for is something I can sneak in my purse, or a pocket. LOL, sounds very dirty doesn't it? I sometimes stay with family and friends....and hate packing my larger vibes. And occasionally I will get struck with the mood at work. I usually have enough privacy to take care of myself.....but if someone wanders into my office suite, I really don't need them hearing the vibe buzzing away through the bathroom door. :D

All feedback appreciated....or a PM to let me know of any products.

You don't sound stupid at all! It's a lot of info to take in, for sure!

If you look around, you'll see that there are different levels of toys and retailers. Expensive toys aren't necessarily good toys; they often just have a bigger markup or a premium price tag. There are cheap toys that are great and will last a long time, and expensive ones that suck and will crap out on you in less than a year. If you're buying something like a glass dildo, a $30 one may be just as good as a $150 one. Why pay more when you don't have to, or could get a variety of toys for the same amount of money?

The same goes for retailers. Places like Babeland, Libida and GV are "premium" retailers and they charge premium prices. A Hitachi Magic Wand with attachments that can be had for around $50 elsewhere might cost you well over $100 at one of the premium stores/sites, and it's not like they provide a satisfaction guarantee or anything else that justifies the cost difference. They're just making more off of the same items.

I think Adam & Eve is a great place for a toy newbie especially and/or more expensive toys because they do have a satisfaction guarantee and the prices there are fairly reasonable. They're not the lowest prices around, but they're not the highest, either. That $5 or $10 over the lowest price you can find might be worth it for the ability to return the toys with no hassle if you don't enjoy it or it breaks within the first couple of months.

In terms of materials, your best bet is going to be pure silicone (i.e. NOT a mixture of silicone and something else; be sure to ask the retailer if the toy is 100% silicone because things only have to contain 10% of something to be labeled as such [like 10% juice and 90% colored sugar water being called "fruit juice" ]), some vinyl (like the attachments for the hitachi magic wand, which can be sterilized and don't have a toxic odor or anything), glass/pyrex and stainless steel. Hard plastic might be fine, too, but there aren't a lot of good toys made of it. Avoid jelly, rubber/latex and cyberskin-type stuff OR be prepared to slip a condom on toys made of those things.

The glass ones.....I had a Don Wand from a company called Easy Comforts. It was great, and I miss it.

I recently recieved a glass dildo. It is now my favorite toy. It has a spiral ridge along the length and a ball at the end to use as a handle. It is one of the most pleasurable things I have ever used. I have a rabbit vibrator purchased through Passion Parties, it's okay nothing compared to the glass dildo...

My wife loves her new glass dong too... She just picked up a butterfly vibe and thought it was the best ever until I gave her the new glass dong. She really went wild when it was chilled! Good thing with the glass ones is you can heat or chill them for a new thrill...

Basicly, I've had 2 over the years:

The first is a Pocket Rocket, a little bit larger than a tube of lipstick, with removable clear caps (mine has 6 different caps) for hygene, the GOOD ones are more expensive about $25 but are far better than the cheapies. If I am solo, I use this for the quickie.

The other is a Rabbit, if yoy want a longer lasting slower building O, get the Rabbit.
