Tough Mudder

I love how there are so many different versions of these and they all claim to be the toughest/most badass/etc.

No. Tough Mudder is worldwide. If you see it under that name, it's still the same thing regardless of where it's held.

Otherwise I have no idea what you mean.

always wanted to catch the show on tv but everytime i do.. i catch the last bit of it

There are many events now that are basically the same concept and idea, but with different names.

Man that is amazing. Good for you. I'm a wimp:(

One is held very close to us.

I joined last year under duress from one of our staff who's a total buff boy - practically lives at the gym. We had a fantastic time. I felt sick, exhausted, emotional and ready to die by the end, but so did everyone else...I've done a lot of team building on obstacle course and relays, but this surpasses it all.

And the after party ain't bad either. ;)

Whatever. Join one, join a dozen. So long as they're promoting the right cause, who cares if it's under a different name.

My point was that they're all about the same level of toughness, but each claims to be the best... which I find to be rather lame.

And don't get pissy with me.

Pissy? You've had it easy if you think THAT is pissy. :D

I wasn't. I was just saying that it doesn't REALLY matter who's event is harder, blah, blah, blah....join one and find out, join two and compare.

Sheesh.

No point debating which is the most difficult if there's no basis for comparison, right?

Hey, I've been saying they're all the same all along. None seems to be much tougher than the other. But that's not what THEY claim, which I find annoying.

Also...one more point.

You have to consider the mentality for the creation of these events. Competitive by nature.

So I guess that means you won't be joining ANY of them, because they're annoying? :D

True, but I would categorize as the 'lame' competitiveness because there is no proper basis for it.

What on earth are you talking about?

These events are host to some premium A type personalities - and were created by the same. The competitive nature oozes, partially against others but also against yourself. It's a personal challenge.

I think this must be a case of you having to have experienced this to appreciate it.

But whatever. I don't feel like arguing with you. You don't like it, I get it, it's not for you.

Moving on.

I know what the events are about. They're nothing new, they've been around for years.

However, the point you keep missing is this... I'm talking about the competitiveness between the events, not what's going on in one particular event.

You don't seem to be this slow all the time, so I'll give you the benefit of the doubt today ;)
