Touch me deep...

You have been a ghost in my life for so long, yet you have brought life to it. Thank you for haunting me in a good way. You were there for my awakening

neonflux' strength. Truly inspiring to see her take a piss poor situation and say to herself, "What can i do to help others hurting with this?" and then she goes out and DOES it!

i  you, girl!

Annie

Your email and the previous post which came at a time when my heart had been so ripped to shreds that I thought I would never be able to pick up all of the pieces and put them together again. Thank you for such an incredible gift.

Wow! You've rocked my world... you're writing is phenominal... i was in tears reading.... *HUGZ* you made me FEEL it.....

the south shore of lake michigan, enough moonlight to illuminate the white foam of the breaking waves angling in from the west, seeing driftwood beachfires eveery few hundred yards as I look down the beach, old freinds sharing memories from when we were the young boys and girls sneaking off from the fire into the beach grass together (innocence then - to '"make out" ). Life is good. There is a sadness to it because our innocent (and later, not so innocent) moments in the beach grass are so transient . . . but life is good. (a few glasses of good spanish bubbly, but not drunbk)

Now I'm sure she "likes" me, because I even forgot to ask politely, like, "Hey Nirvana - wanna go for a little walk on the beach with me?"

OhboyOhboyOhboyOhboyOhboy!

Merely an idiom used in this part of the world to express joyful excitement. Um - perhaps a different expression would have been better here.

"Hot dog! Golly gee! Oh happy day! Goodie-goodie-goodie!"

It's been such a long time; I had forgotten the classic line: "Hey Nirvana, wanna come help me find some more firewood?" :cathappy:

This way, sweetie-pie. Here, hold my hand - it's dark on the beach tonight . . . :catroar:

Text message from a friend of mine who is a nursing practitioner

" Today is a day of marvel and dispair. One woman is recovering when expected not to. One man is dying, yet he should have many years yet to live. My heart is at peace knowing I am giving them the care they deserve. Life is unpredictable. Don't let circumstances get in the way of your happiness. Find something to smile about. Hug your daughter. Phone your woman. Be happy. I love you muchly"

That is good stuff - thanks for sharing.

To Imp

The more I have the absolute pleasure to get to know you, the more i realise what a strong, confident, balanced, focused, determined, yet "real" person you are. You have touched me so deeply. It is times like these that I wish I was closer (in proximity) because of the overwhelming need to just hug you for such a long time. You're amazing! The term "friend" now has new meaning for me. Thank you, Sweet

Mary Oliver:Wild Geese

You do not have to be good.
You do not have to walk on your knees
for a hundred miles through the desert, repenting.
You only have to let the soft animal of your body
love what it loves.
Tell me about despair, yours, and I will tell you mine.
Meanwhile the world goes on.
Meanwhile the sun and the clear pebbles of the rain
are moving across the landscapes,
over the prairies and the deep trees,
the mountains and the rivers.
Meanwhile the wild geese, high in the clean blue air,
are heading home again.
Whoever you are, no matter how lonely,
the world offers itself to your imagination,
calls to you like the wild geese, harsh and exciting--
over and over announcing your place
in the family of things.

Things that touch me and comfort me would have to be my kitty Fred. He's always there, non judgemental and happy to see me whenever I get home from work. :cathappy:

And I miss you with all of my heart.

Annie - thank you again for your friendship and for reading my work. :rose:

What touches me: Continuing friendship despite long absences, sadness that allows me to know I'm alive, the chance to have loved deeply and passionately even though it has resulted in such great loss.

Is being touched musically allowed?

I was trying to download something completely different when I stumbled across Karen Carpenter singing Ave Maria. What a find! :) :rose:
