Touch me deep...

Queen Of Rain: Roxette

In that big big house
there are fifty doors
and one of them leads to your heart.
In the time of spring
I passed your gate
and tried to make a start.
All I knew
was the scent of sea and dew
but I've been in love before, how about you?

There's a time for the good in life,
a time to kill the pain in life,
dream about the sun you queen of rain.

In that big old house
there are fifty beds
and one of them leads to your soul.
It's a bed of fear,
a bed of threats,
regrets and sheets so cold.
All I knew your eyes so velvet blue,
I've been in love before, how about you?

There's a time for the good in life...
a time to kill the pain in life,
dream about the sun you queen of rain.

Time went by
as I wrote your name in the sky,
fly fly away,
bye bye.

It's time to place your bets in life,
I've played the loser's game of life,
dream about the sun you queen of rain.

And she asked me what, in the week ahead, I was most looking forward to.

I reached inside ...

... and reached ...

... and reached ...

... and just when I thought I was going to come up empty-handed, my mind landed on something.

(Thank you. It was VERY eye-opening.)

pancakes.

sitting at a actual table with the kids

and her.

this is the nearest i'll ever get to family  :rose:

You remind me of a little hummingbird, beautiful. Delicate, impossible to cage, never settling long in one place. Fly away baby, come back to me soon.

Goldfrapp - Horse Tears

I listened to this at midnight last night in the middle of an empty park. For a few minutes the whole world just stopped.

Goldfrapp - Pilots

Armoured cars sail the sky
They're pink at dawn
If I lived forever, you just wouldn't be
So beautiful, as the sun
When it shines all over the world

We're pilots watching the stars
The world pre-occupied
We're pilots watching the stars
Who do we think we are?

Ice and clouds, shimmer outside
Rain just falls, at magic hour
It's just the sound of you and me
Time twitching
Murmurs of our friendly machine

We're pilots watching the stars
The world pre-occupied
We're pilots watching the stars
Who do we think we are?
(Yes, who do...)

There's just the sound
Of you and me

I listened to this at midnight last night in the middle of an empty park. For a It's miraculous, isn't it? Human creativity, that is, and how things like that can move us, or stop us in our tracks. Imagine - before someone thought it up and a whole bunch of very talented people who have dedicated their lives to such things put it together, lovingly making precise decisions/judgements on every miniscule detail, that song did not exist. And now - it does.

A world without creativity wouldn't be worth living in.

I used to tease my brother: "If I PROMISE to miss you, will you go away??".... Well... "If I threaten not to miss you, will you stay?"
