Top 3...books you have read...and why...
Mrs. Frisby and the Rats of NIMH by Robert C. O'Brien. My 3rd grade teacher read this book to us a chapter or two at a time as a way to settle us down after lunch recess. I loved hearing the story then and to this day, I still love to go back and read it.

The Sheltering Sky by Paul Bowles. I really got immersed in the characters and their story in a way that I hadn't with a book before then.

The Ocean At The End of The Lane by Neil Gaiman. Pretty much anything the man writes is my favorite thing. But I do have an affinity for this particular book - I think it's a beautiful story.
