I have a stumper:

In his youth a young man took a trip to visit the Great Pyramids of Egypt. He was deeply moved by the trip. Years later he decided to take his own son to see the Pyramids. Till then the son had never been away from home, but here's the catch. The man made his first trip to the Pyramids in 1995. And he took his son to see them in 1969. How is this possible?

B.C.

You can do better.

He took his son in 1969 B.C. (Before Christ).

There are three boxes. One has only apples, one has only oranges, and one has both apples and oranges. The three were correctly labelled, but someone switched them all. You can pick one fruit out of only one box, and using that, you must re-label all three correctly. You can't see into the boxes. How do you do it?

smell

each fruit has a smell to it

Sweetheart, you have to pick a fruit out, and tell me from what you see. You're right, I suppose you could smell it or feel it, but that's not a sure-fire way.

It's by weight.

Oranges weigh more than apples.

the heaviest box is the box of oranges.

The lightest box is the box of apples.

and the one in the middle is the box of apples and oranges...

What do I win?

Shin, the only thing you can touch is one piece of fruit from one box.

lol...I was grabbing at straws there.

You have me stumped...

This isn't an easy one. Stay with me here...

You take one form the box labelled "A's and O's"
if it's an apple, you know that's the apple box.
if it's an orange, you know it's the orange box (cause all three labels were switched).

So now you know one box is apples (let's say for argument).

Then, since all three box labels were switched, you know that the box labelled "Oranges" is really mixed (cause it's not apples, and it is labelled "oranges" so it can't be that), and the last one is oranges.

Laughs - this one made me crazy when I heard it.
