Haiku for a Darkened Room

Liquid falls to eyes.
Drops to soothe dry eyes? Or cats’
Ear mite medicine?

work looms all too soon
I've been away far too long
stories won't let go

I'm at work right now
the break is too fucking short
over now, damn it

a muse needed
writing feels like drudgery
no words for me

At work, no haiku
break is the heart's longing sigh.
Birds sing in the Spring

March Madness, play ball
cheerful chirps out my window
home now, Miller time

For those enquiring minds, it was the rewetting drops. However, I had recently cleaned out a desk drawer and found the old eat mite medicine. The two bottles were identical. In that split second between the drops falling and landing in my eyes, I just had time to wonder: Did I throw away the correct bottle? Hence the haiku.

Thank you for the haiku thread, glynndah. It was a fun change of pace.

Here am I, rez one,
Take me, uh, no one else will.
No corn in winter.

a kind offer
the rez is backwards and cold
have you warm heart?

Your haikus - sublime.
Mine - merely pedestrian.
So poetic. *sigh*

Unutterably
precious! Hot salt tears stream
Her death sentence

"There was a young man from Mass,
Whose balls were made out of glass..."

Hey, waitaminnit, that's not a Haiku! Look up there, stupid!

It isn't? Oh yeah. I guess you're right.

Sorry. :(

Um...which way to the Poetry Corner? :D

Warm days and sunshine.
Alas, back to cool weather,
Drooping daffodils.

One more for the rez girl (cause it's there, and there ain't here, so there it goes).

Cloudy days and nights;
Cloudy brings the light of day;
Cloudy's  - Spring blooms.

G'night, Lit. :rose:
