Today Would be a Good Day for Trump to Rekease His Taxes

It's a good day for Trump to announce a re-investigation of 09/11/2001

He would somehow work in a brag that he could have done it better and hugelier. And his base wouldn't care; and New Yorkers already hate him anyway, knowing him better than anyone else.

First catch your Hare.

I read the whole article and whilst it makes Donald Trump look bad by proximity, most of the alleged legal responsibility would lie with the late Fred Trump, his executors and trustees/managers of some of the entities he left. Where Donald Trump stands in respect to those entities legally, is far from clear.

So try not to count chickens just yet. Mebbe Mr Meuller will provide some clarification in due course?

Most of the stories are about the fact that Trump has lied all these years about how he became rich. His entire persona is based on, if the story is true a bunch of lies. I think most people already knew this and even his supporters deep down know he's full of shit.
In the end I don't think anything about it is going to hurt him. I would think it's well past the statute of limitations and his base has already proven they don't care.

Oh, this is just the beginning of the investigations into Trump's finances.

He blew off repeated calls to reveal his tax returns, and was still elected by a minority of gullible fools who bought his crap about being a self-made man and a stable business genius. He basically pulled the same gangster move that BotBoy advocated for in this thread-- told the world to eat a big old bag of dicks regarding his tax returns.

All that shit about his "one million dollar loan from Dad (paid back with interest)" will come out in the wash, as well as his later "loans" from the former eastern block nations. Those "loans" have certainly been paid back "with interest" to Putin.

This man is the biggest liar and crook ever to occupy the White House, so of course he is going to act like Al Capone when it comes to revealing his financial past. It took a while to take down Capone, but it eventually happened.

Sit tight, crook sympathizers, this is just beginning to unravel.

I would think it's well past the statute of limitations

The phrases R.I.C.O. and 'continuing criminal enterprises' come to mind.

What would be really super uber cool is that he was found to be engaged in criminal activity prior to his initial campaign filing making him ineligible, which would bring the last two years of terror into question and possibly nullify Gorsuch among other things.

It would be a good day for Trump pull off another successful trade negotiation.

Letter from Trump's attorney to the NYTs:

Statement to The Times from Charles J. Harder, a lawyer for President Trump

The New York Times’ allegations of fraud and tax evasion are 100% false, and highly defamatory. There was no fraud or tax evasion by anyone. The facts upon which the Times bases its false allegations are extremely inaccurate. All estate matters were handled by licensed attorneys, licensed CPAs and licensed real estate appraisers who followed all laws and rules strictly. All matters were filed with the IRS and New York taxing authorities. The returns and tax positions that the Times now attacks were examined in real time by the relevant taxing authorities. The taxing authorities requested a few minor adjustments, which were made, and then fully approved all of the tax filings. These matters have now been closed for more than a decade.

President Trump had virtually no involvement whatsoever with these matters. The affairs were handled by other Trump family members who were not experts themselves and therefore relied entirely upon the aforementioned licensed professionals to ensure full compliance with the law. Should the Times state or imply that President Trump participated in fraud, tax evasion, or any other crime, it will be exposing itself to substantial liability and damages for defamation.

You've been saying that shit for 2 years now......

Sit tight, BotBoy. Remember, it took the Repugnicans much longer than 2 years to bring charges against Bill Clinton for a single count of lying to Congress about a consensual sexual encounter, after starting out as an investigation of a real estate deal.

The results of the Trump administration investigations will make Bill look like a model boy scout, and Bots like you will go scurrying like rats to the weak-kneed argument that "you never voted for Trump".

It could....it could.

I just don't think it will happen unless (D)'s take over.

And then if they do the investigations won't matter, he'll be impeached because "fuck you" and that will be that, POTUS Pence.

The article certainly reads as if Fred Trump did something nefarious and illegal in his "tax evasion".....

Unfortunately, all of this "evasion" was done within the boundaries the numerous loop holes our complicated system creates. It is nothing that anyone with some money and a little brains does not do. Or more specifically, does not hire tax lawyers and accountants to do.

To some taking advantage of the system is smart to others it is "evil". To too many it depends on who it is and what party they work for.....

Yes, Pence is waiting in the wings, keeping his mouth shut just enough to have plausible deniability about the whole crooked mess if he gets the opportunity to take over. But the cool thing is, Pence will probably learn from the experience of Gerald Ford, who blew his chance to get elected because he pardoned Tricky Dick.

Perhaps we will have a chance to see the orange man in an orange suit. That would be a teachable moment for Amerikkka...

Today would be a good day for Trump to announce that there has been an extra-terrestrial presence on Earth for many years.

In Trump's case, if he is by pardon or for any other reason not convicted in federal courts, he will be convicted in New York courts, to which presidential pardon power does not extend.

Trump certainly will be impeached by the House after November, but the Senate almost certainly will not convict him.

I doubt they will have the numbers...but if they do what do you suppose it will be for?

Being offensive?

Criminal conspiracy, treason, and obstruction of justice, those being the things Trump is guilty of, just to start with.
