The ferry runs in the winter and it sees all the same stuff (and more) that the tour boats do. The run in Southeast is very beautiful in winter, with the snow down to the water's edge. Tell her to bring a good jacket, some overpants, and warm boots.

Awesome! When I saw this picture before, I was tired and I thought that was ice on the right...

Moose Pass?

That doesn't sound very descriptive. When we were in Florida a couple of weeks ago, we passed a sign that said Sand Lake Road. Considering that Florida is basically a sand bar, and that digging a hole without a pump will fill with water and create a pond or lake. Sand lake is ubiquitous.

Moose Pass is a small community along Trail Lake, Trail River and Kenai Lake.

Sand Lake Road is in West Anchorage. I have family that live just off it.

Very close. It's adjacent to the pathway that I use when I commute by bicycle.

Next to Target on "C" Street, close to the "C" Street and Minnesota Drive intersection. It appears that an outlet mall is going to be built across the street.

I always thought it would be a great place for another ice arena.
