Today in Anchorage

Recently spent two glorious weeks in your great state! Several days in Seward and Homer. Last two days in Anchorage, Talkeetna and Palmer... temps were in the 70's. Photographed Mt McKinley in all her glory... not a cloud in the sky. It was a wonderful trip. I'll be back!

They must be running out of land in Alaska to build the houses so close.

The largest landowners in the state are the Feds, the State and the Native Corporations. Even though Alaska is huge, there's very little land in private hands. So, some are forced to live like kenneled dogs.

Looks like they're built on the side of a mountain. Be careful when you go out the back door, that first step is a doosey!

They got paved roads, no flat land and green water. Not like the mud of the inlet. Not Homer, not Seward, not Valdez. Could be Sitka, Petersburg or Ketchikan. Still, just a guess.
