My new ride.

My short little run to the local pond, I kept thinking I would really hurt if I crashed cause all I had on was a tank top, shorts and thongs.

So I've been watching the latest show about Alaska, Life Below Zero. Those guys are always going out hunting and trapping. Are there hunting/trapping seasons in Alaska, or can you just go shoot a moose whenever you get hungry?

There are seasons. Google is your friend.

Not only are there seasons, but shooting a bull while in rutting season will not make for some tasty vittles. Also in the spring they're kind of skinny. Hunting season is there for reasons.

What if I lie to get you into trouble?

Not me.

I can tell you one thing; if you are ever looking for me, you need not go north of the Arctic Circle because I'll not be there. I could go the rest of my life without ever being anywhere that the temp is less than 70

It's 67°F in Prudhoe Bay right now, so in 3°F, I'll see you there.

Hey it's way warmer at the pole than it is here. 55

60°F here, but climbing in the bright sun. Rabbit Creek is flooding and some houses might be affected. Dumbasses in the flood plain. (or, the story of "Why is this land so cheap?")

Isn't their insurance way high though? Like in my hometown when the people bitch about the smell of the stockyards or that their house is built in the dried riverbed. Okay it's been dry for 40 years due to the dam but still there's that chance...therefore your house insurance is high. And really, encroaching on stinky farm animals? It's like they don't know where they are living.

Some own their place and have no insurance. I looked at some property along that creek once, and passed on it. There was no place to build that was high enough above the creek, for me. Besides, in the gully, there wasn't enough sun. Nice privacy for a pot farm, but no sun.

With the floods last fall, the ground is still saturated. All the snowmelt is running down the creek.

Here's where I'm doubtful. 90 next week? No fucking way. I've never ever seen more than 80, ever.
