America is due to formally withdraw from the ABM Treaty so that it can concentrate on the pipedream of the Missile Defence System.

Forcing Russia and China into an alliance to start stockpiling weapons again isn't what I would call having a sound policy.

It sounds more like a suicide wish to me...

It's just that I was listening to some American pundits on the radio today. They drew the conclusion that as Russia no longer has a defence ring around its cities (or if it has it would most likely be non-functional by now) and China never had one that could be considered technologically sophisticated enough to do the job properly, then America is forcing them into an Alliance of self-protection.

When I heard the discussion I thought "Aha! A subject for Lit", without checking to see if it had already been done.

My people will get in touch with your people tomorrow. I'm sure we can settle this amicably...

WD, I have to raise the same point here I did on my thread about this. Countries like Afghanistan and those.. If they decide to nuke us, it's not going to be with a missle. It's going to be with a TV repair van.
