Tobacco addictions last an entire lifetime.
There are people who start smoking as teenagers, and smoke all the way up until they are 80 or 90 years old. It is absolutely incredible.
Not only are they ruining their own health, but they are also damaging the health of those around them with second hand smoke and the noxious fumes and gasses it leaves behind.
I feel no pity for compulsive smokers.
