There's a new show on TNT network about paramedicts. It's calle "Saved." The flawed hero is a gambler...and the evil gambling guy he goes to is....

An effiminate, sadistic homosexual. Worse than that, the guy comes onto our hero and he jerks away in disgust.

I was pretty upset with this bigoted stereotype who reinforces the homophobic perception that all gay guys are a danger to hetero men. I'm sure the creators naively felt they were being "colorful" and different with this character, but as he's the only gay guy on the show, he becomes a rather nasty symbol.

I tried to lodge a criticism, but had no luck posting on the website. I think it doesn't like my browers. Maybe I'm making too much of this. I recomment you folk check the show out and if you find it as offensive as I did, that you lodge a complaint not only on the boards but to TNT. They know not what they do.....

Some of the creepiest guys I have met have been gay dudes like you just described...except they usually deal pills and crystal meth and have a penchant for fisting and leather games...as opposed to being gambling overlords...

Not all gay people (or whatever minority you can think of, the point is the same) are nice people. You're unique, just like everyone else and I see nothing wrong with portraying assholes of all shapes, sizes and varieties.
