Titans: The Revised Adventures RP

"Is it possible you are running on a power source that has replaced your heart?" she questioned slipping to the floor in front of him she lay her head in his cool lap still trying to register the strange change. "It must be hard on you." she commented. "Just know that I'll be here for support if you need anything don't hesitate to ask."

“I’m glad you’re here by my side, Reikka,” Vic said with a smile. “And, just so you--” he stopped dead, having felt something in his lap as she laid her head down. “Oh my god!” he said, then slowly moved her aside and stood to his feet -- there was a bulge under the flexible metal that covered his crotch, and he felt it. Accessing mental files, he learned that his dad had also included artificial genitals, nerves intact. His brain sent a signal to his crotch, and the covered opened and slid back, revealing a full penis and testicles. “I can feel it! I can feel it!”

[ooc: there are no words to describe that post I am in awe of how cheesy that was.]

Reikka arched a sardonic brow at this new turn of events. In all her life she'd never had a moment where words simply eluded her. In fact, all thoughts flew out the window as her mouth was held open then closed much like a fish at the strange display before her.

Right her guy had an artificial ... yeah she simply couldn't help herself and burst out laughing. Standing to her feet she couldn't help it as the peel of laughter filled the room before she went back to her knees to pat him on his thigh. "I don't mean to sound so cruel its just... the fact you were so happy and that then this... I mean. Were you really so worried of not experiencing a sexual life without your... well. Yeah." she sighed. "Anyway, I'm here for ya big guy just don't go springing these surprise attacks on me. I don't think my heart can take it."

Donna was never good at lies so she only skirted the truth a bit with that. She looked at the jacket and started to pull it off and hand it back to him.

A frown crossed Conner's face briefly. He hadn't expected her to leave so early, especially when he still had a few good lines to deliver. Wiping away the frown with his usual smile, Superboy waved his hand dismissivly.

"Tell ya what Wonder Girl. Bring the jacket to Titans Tower tomorrow morning"

Hopping off the metal beam, Superboy dropped out of sight before floating up gracefully.

"It's the big-ass T-shaped building. Can't miss it"

Giving a two fingered salute, Superboy turned and flew off. He was disappointed, he couldn't deny it. He had even been nice enough to not use his x-ray vision on Wonder Girl, and he was still heading home empty handed.

"Just dosen't pay to be the nice guy" he concluded once he was certain he was out of earshot. Picking up some speed, he made his way back to the tower.

Floating lifelessly in the regeneration tank, Ghost played the events of the night over in his mind. They'd had suprise on their side and the Titans had still gotten the better of them.

Kid Twist was right...they needed to change tactics. The full blown assault had ended in a disaster for both sides, with neither really gaining anything. He would need something more. He needed to attack the one place they couldn't defend, no matter how powerful they were.

Ghost finally understood.

Phasing intagible, he floated through the tank, emerging as strong as ever. Mal was waiting for him and Ghost regarded his companion with a nod.

"I need to speak to Slade. I think I know how to beat the Titans"

Terra growled as she waited in line at the grocery store. She needed to stalk up on food if she planned to live a fun and free livelihood. Away from the 'rents and any other would be authority figure she felt her most strongest, her most carefree.

She pulled up to the register her basket filled to the brim with various junk foods and treats. The lady behind the register eyed her funny but said nothing only speaking when her total was registered. "That will be $250."

Terra arched a brow pulling out her master card and handing it to the lady. She swipped the card, waiting for it to process. "Denied." the woman spoke. "Do you have any other form of payment?"

"What?" Terra growled, "Swipe it again."

As instructed she swiped the cared and again it came up denied. "I'm sorry but this card is not valid."

"Not valid. What are you talking about?! My father put money on that thing..." the line seemed to get impatient as people starting growling their annoyances. Terra turned to them with a evil glare the ground around her shaking as everyone seemed to suddenly shut up.

Pulling out her cell she called her father. He seemed to already know the issue and didn't plan on helping her. "What the hell do you mean I'm cut off. I'm your fucking daughter for christ sakes!" She growled again the ground rumbling under her new found fury. "No fuck you!" she screamed crushing the phone to bits.

For a moment she made to compose herself, but then the ground beneath her rumbled to life picking up its pace as the whole building began to shake under her furry. She took to the sky ripping a slab of the flooring underneath her as it was rock and concrete. The ceiling was ripped open just the same also a form of concrete as she took off in her madened furry. She would go talk to her father and straighten this out...but first...

Donna

"Thanks, ok..I guess I will. Thank you Superboy."

She smiled at that bit of kindness and understanding, after the frown she'd been worried. It all seemed to work out though and he was off before she could say anything more. Donna took to the sky, soaring up over Vector city with so much on her mind. She closed her eyes and soared, arms outspread, allowing the night air to cool her thoughts and mind.

So tomorrow she'd have to put on the costume and go return his jack, ok no big deal there, a big building shaped like a T, couldn't be that hard to spot right? What sort of structural integrity could a building shaped like that have? Must have a reason she supposed with a shrug, and on she flew in a lazy graceful arch heading toward her own apartment.

Donna waited until the streets were empty and then floated down into the darkness of the alley behind her building, feet lightly touching down as she released her will and succumbed to gravity once more. Pulling the jacket a bit tighter around her she hustled in to the lobby, thankful her purse hadn't been lost along with her wrap. She still had her keys and used them to let herself in.

Dark and empty she made her way through her apartment shedding the tattered and ruined Halloween costume before heading off to shower. Twenty minutes and a snuggly robe later and she was feeling much better about the world. Donna made herself some tea and noticed something sticking out of her bag.. the tag from the photographer! She hurriedly dialed the number surprised to hear someone answer, even more surprised to learn yes they had the photo and she could pick hers up in the morning.

With a stretch and a smile Donna hung up the phone and dragged herself off to bed. Her bruises were healing fast and she felt good despite everything. As soon as those ebon locks hit the pillow she was in a deep sleep.

Donna woke late Sunday morning, not rolling out of bed until around nine. She was usually up far earlier but she had indulged in sleeping in this once. She took her time getting up and eating breakfast. It was one of those moments where she was glad for heavy coats. She needed something to hide her costume under for part of her day.

Donna pulled the red jumpsuit on, ,slipping the straps up over her shoulders and straightening the line of gold stars that trimmed it. She pulled on and fastened a thick golden belt with a large 'W' set in the front. A thin shimmering looped rope was clipped onto the belt...that lasso had been with her since she started the Wonder Girl gig and she owed it her life many times over. Calf high black boots and her customary silver bracelets finished off the Wonder Girl costume which felt less like a costume then her normal clothing. She pulled a long heavy gray coat from her closet and wrapped herself in it. All that showed now were the boots and they looked fairly normal.

Gabbing a certain Kryptonian's leather jacket and her claim ticket Donna headed off to claim one and return the other. She picked up the photo and a surprise for Grant when she ran into him again. Then when she could she stored the jacket and the pictures and headed back to the skies. Now as Wonder Girl she could fly freely and poured on the speed, easily finding the building exactly as Superboy had promised. She flew once around the building getting a good look at it in the daylight before landing softly at the front door. Donna hit the bell, all she could do now was stand and wait, leather jacket draped over her arm.

Roy.

Roy had spent the night, and he woke up on the comforter in Di's room. with Di. Hethought what had he done, and couldn't remember after the rib taping. That was odd. He was sure he'd remember, he got up and immediately wondered an important thing. Where were his pants? he couldn't see them. Not that they were much good right now. Damged beyond belief dirty torn he'd been wearing them for two days. And there was a door bell ringing. Didn't ayone else hear that. Anyone at all.

Roy grabbed a robe. It was pink, and short on him. Thankfully it covered everything and marched to the door. He peeked out through teh peephole. It was amzing how much technology seemed here and there was still a peephole. it was Donna. His heart skipped a second and he calmed down. But he opened the door anyway to greet her and see what she needed.

"HI Donna." Roy said easily and calmly, proud even... in his pink robe.

"Hi I-"

Donna's jaw dropped. Not just at who answered the door but how. Donna looked down at the jacket over her arm and tried to block out the vision of Roy in a short pink robe. Obviously it wasn't his, the frills and color let alone style made that obvious.

"I..uhh..Hi. Ummm"

Well this was thoroughly awkward.

Roy.

"Well it's good to see your in town." Roy gave her a long look. She had on a long gey coat and was carrying another. Looked like Superboy's. What he tok two girls to coffee now she had to have two. he ahd thought a lot better of her. and yet, he couldn't beleive it There had to be some other explaantion for it, because she wouldn't do that. Not to grant not to him not to anyone.

"So can I take your coats. I can get that one to superboy if you're not staying but otherwise I'm sure one of the doo dads here makes coffee." Roy waved. "Donna. Hello."

“Of course, Master Ghost.” Malchior went to get Slade, and a few minutes later, they both walked into the room. Slade sat down and looked at Ghost. “So, Malchior says you’ve concocted a new plan?”

Ghost slipped his hands into his pockets and assumed a familar stance.

"The Titans work well as a team. Their powers complement each other which makes it difficult to defeat them"

The dark sunglasses caught Slade's reflection as Ghost spoke again. "My solution is simple. We identify the most powerful member of the Titans. Once I've acquired a chemical solution from LexCorp I'll be one step closer to completing myself"

Ghost knew Slade would be impatient, wanting to get to the point. It was why Ghost enjoyed drawing it out so long.

"I'll be able to possess that Titan. Take control of their body and their power. Then when we attack, their strongest member will turn on them. Confusion, fear and defeat will all follow."

Star's arm flopped over in Robin's bed, feeling around for him... Only to sit up a bit seconds later, her lip jutted out. Where had he gone off to?
Swinging her legs off the side of the bed, she gave another frown at the skirt she was still in. She slipped off the glittery clothes, trading them instead for the red and yellow robe that hung off the back of his door before wandering out into the halls.

-----------

A shower and meditation session later, Raven was feeling much better. Not exactly a full rest, but it was enough to keep her going. Donning jeans and a black tank, she headed to Gar's room, wanting be sure he was alright.
"Beast Boy?," She called, knocking against his door. "I just wanted to check up on you... Can I come in?"

"Yeah I'm.. I well...I live here now."

Didn't they cover that once already? Speaking of covering...he was still in that robe she noticed when she dared look up again. Blue eyes carefully finding his face and not daring to look elsewhere. That was when the puffiness and bruising were noted. Donna stepped in even before being bidden inside. The coat and his state completly forgotten now for a look of concern. Fingertips reaching for his cheek but stopping short, half drawing back.

"You're hurt. Are you ok? I mean..what happened?"

And then belatedly once she regained her mental footing.

"Why are you here? This is where Superboy said I could drop off his jacket."

Roy.

Roy took her in the same way she did, but with far less shock. When she reached for him he almost fell into her, he didn't rememebr why, but she was the greatest, most comforting girl ever. A mix between mom and fresh apple pie, you could melt into her and feel only safe and content.

Then she pulled back and Roy wondered once more. He could only try to forget the past, but it was hard. somehow she had. Part of him wanted to bring her close and kiss like he had before to remind her of what they had. Part of him wanted to go wake Di up and find out if he did anything in his condition, and if he didn't fix that, so he could forget.

"So what happened, why am I here. Well I joined the Titans, I was going to tell you, I came over for a meeting last night found a party. " Roy slipped one arm off with a painful shrug to show Donna the bandaged ribs and the extent of the bruising.

"So really why I'm STILL here. Zombie wrecked my bike, steroid monkey cracked some ribs, and I didn't feel like going to the hospital to do paperwork while they pumped me full of morphine." Roy tried to get his arm back in the robe and couldn't so he settled for just tightening the robe so he wouldn't flash her. "So I asked if someone would put me up for the night, they did and I don't rememebr where my uniform is, so I grabbed the closest robe I could." Roy Breathed a bit too deeply at the end and Cursed under his breath for the twinge. Oh yeah. Cracked.

"That's why I'm still here." He gave her a glance. "And you're returning a jacket. Were you here last night? are you alright?" Roy tried to stand quickly and the sharp influx of air almost doubled him over. He tensed his abs and muscles and stayed upright before he tried to check Donna. "Did you get hurt last night?"

He was in a lot of pain, that much was obvious. She ushered them both in and shut the door, closing out the chilly air of a late October, well November now, day. She listened as he explained about these Titans assuming now that they were some sort of group of good guys since as a cop Roy wouldn't be in a gang. The name sounded naggingly familiar what was it she had heard ..oh yes! Superboy had called the building Titan Tower, explained the 'T' motif.

He bared his bandaged injuries and she winced for him, almost half his chest was black and blue and the way he was breathing the wounds had to have been substantial. Then his focus was on her and she shook it off, this time her hands didn't stop, they reached out to gently, with infinite care slide the robe back up over him. The she guided him to the sofa in the sitting area within view of the door. Gently she eased him down, supporting much of his weight with her own hands.

"You shouldn't be up and around Roy, not with wounds like these. You should be in bed resting even if not in a hospital. I'm fine, don't worry about me. "

True enough, her bruises were already fading, even if he could see them under her long coat. Glimmer of silver as her bracelets peeked out with a stretch of her hand to tuck in his robe around his neck. She wished there was a blanket she could put over him, something to ward off the chill, but not knowing the place she was at a loss.

"Can I get you anything? You really should be trying to get better Harper, try and put that stubborn streak on hold for a day will you?"

Roy shrugged and regretted it. He didn't like hospitals, she knew that. They were not a great place for him, but maybe she was right and he should see a doctor. Just to make sure.

"Look I'll be fine. Unless magically you're about to find me a ride home, or pants. I could make do with pants." He smiled at Donna "And I suppose that maybe you're right. I'll get the Station Doc to give me something and I'll do some light duty for a little while. But enough about me." Roy got up and hobbled a little. he hated to have her see him like this. Grant didn't look nearly so screwed up last night, no one did. "Tell me about you. Are you taking school? are you working? " Roy moved off to find something that made coffee, and maybe something he could shave with. He had passed a mirrored surface and he still looked like hell.

"How's your photography?" He had loved her pictures. Despite seeing the bullseye all the time, he swore She had a keener eye than him.

Donna rolled her eyes as he got up and began doing pretty much the opposite of resting, she stepped up to catch him by the hand, on of the few unbruised places she could see. She pulled him to a gentle stop and turned him to face her. The concern was there, etched deep in her face, worried knitting of her brows, the searching of her eyes.

"Roy, you are hurt. You can't just take a beating like that and go on as if everything is fine. No one can."

Ok, except maybe she could...or Superboy..but not a lot of people could.

"Please, for my sake...will you just lay down and get some rest? I can go get things if you need them."

She immediately thought better of that, a bit more then she should be offering with his present state and the girls she'd last seen him with.

"Or call someone, if..you know..there's someone you would rather have here to look after you. I saw you with your friends yesterday..."

Superboy strolled in the room, stretching his arms up over his head. He had slept like a rock after the previous night, and now it was time for the young Kryptonian to get a workout, grab some sun, and see what Vector City had to offer.

Slipping on his black S-shield t shirt and jeans, he moved out into the main living area.

His bright blue eyes twinkeled as he caught sight of Wonder Girl. She was talking to the meta-cop he'd met earlier. That dude was pretty tough, no superpowers and he still was going toe to toe with the villians from last night. That thought brought Conner back to the present. There was still the matter of the Kryptonite. Not to mention how organized the villians were. Someone was backing them, and a pretty important someone at that.

But for now, Conner allowed himself to be distracted by the sight of Wonder Girl. Her back was facing him, giving Superboy an excellent view of the soft round curve of her hips, or the tight swell of her ass.

Well, maybe a little X-ray vision wouldn't hurt...just a peek afterall he smiled as the red costume seemed to melt away allowing Superboy an unfettered view of Donna Troy's soft, porcelain skin.

Enjoying the sight for a moment, Conner coughed lightly, drawing attention to himself as he moved into the room.

"Hey, I was hoping you'd stop by" He called out to Wonder Girl.

The Kryptonian had a way of startling her, so much so that she dropped Roy's hand and jumped. She chastised herself, she was the genetic copy of Wonder Woman and she was jumping at voices. She turned with a sheepish smile for again having been caught unaware by the boy of steel.

"Hello."

Awkward moment of silence before she looked down and noted his jacket still draped over her arm. She held up the black leather coat to him.

"I wanted to return this, thanks for letting me borrow it."

Ok, now she was stuck between a rock and a hard place. Roy knew she was Donna but had no idea about Wonder Girl. Conner knew her as Wonder Girl but had no idea about Donna....she looked from one to the other nervously, she couldn't lie. Well she could but she was just really, really bad at it. Now she didn't seem to have many options available to her.

Roy

Donna looked so very nervous. It wasn't like her at all, staring at both him and Superboy back and forth. Roy snorted as he walked up to Superboy and patted him on the back. "Yeah boy of steel here. Helpful guy, huh. I always liked leather, It's a nice jacket."

Roy felt like he was about to say something he likely would have regretted. So he kept walking past leaving her to explain herself. he didn't want to say something about Superboy and Grant all in one night. He knew he was leaping to a conclusion and his heart kept screaming it was the wrong one, but he wasn't anything to those two girls either. Nothing beyond friends. Or was he now?

He'd spent the night with Di, maybe he should just go back to her. It was obvious that she knew more than he did, It was pretty obvious that he needed to think about where he and Donna still stood, and where he was with Di now. Roy kept walking back to Di's room the stairs were not nearly so much of a pain this time. His tattered clothes and uniform were on the door. He hung back up her robe and gave her still sleeping form a kiss. He dressed as much as possible, picked up his quivers and walked back down still thinking of an answer, for her. She was talking to Superboy still. Some bare concept he wasn't quite hearing.

Roy came back down. Tattered clothes still dirty and tapped Superboy again. The guy moved for it this time. Very odd. "So I guess unless I'll see you at one of these Titan meetings, Hopefully it isn't like the last one."

He gave a look to Donna. Like he had so much more to say and he did, but he was tired and felt inadequate right now. "And I guess I'll see you out on a date somewhere next huh. I hope you like grant's new place, I helped him pick it out. He's good guy that one."

Roy made the call to dispatch to find a wandering cruiser. Someone would pick him up, till then he kept walking leaving the tower behind for today.

"Yeah he,"

Donna stopped after the tone of Roy's words caught her, he wasn't really complementing Conner so much as making a snide comment. What was that for? Donna handed the Jacket back to Conner and tried to say something to Roy but he, and his frilly pink robe, were gone before she could.

"What's gotten into him?"

That concern was deeper now, as much as she might try and push it off or away she couldn't. Roy and she had a history and at the very least she'd like to think they were still friends, this was not the way friends acted to one another.

"Excuse me Conner."

Donna moved to follow Roy, he had a lead on her, but with a small push of flight she was soundless and quickly close behind him. Roy turned into a room and Donna would have followed save for what she saw through the partially open door. A girl, very pretty one, sleeping in the bed. Some glimpse of skin as Roy changed. That was all she needed to see, another push of flight and she was back down stairs looking pale and feeling less then well.

"And I guess I'll see you out on a date somewhere next huh. I hope you like grant's new place, I helped him pick it out. He's good guy that one."

Donna held her stomach, she felt ill and her insides were twisting. She shouldn't have followed him, she had no right anymore and it served her right to see that. Still that didn't make the hurt or shock any easier to bear. His comment added to it, striking a nerve as he casually made his way out the door.

"I think I should go. Thank you again Conner, I guess I'll see you around."

Donna walked out the door, impressing herself by not ripping it off the hinges as she opened it. In another moment she was one the sidewalk, spotting him not far ahead and with only a small effort catching up to the red headed archer. She took his hand again, this time with less gentleness then before.

"What is wrong with you?"

"What is wrong with you?"

Well that felt tight, Geez she had a grip didn't she, Roy turned about, to answer her question.

"What's wrong. I'm in pain. That should be obvious but I feel hurt. And now. Now I don't even know if I can fix it. I think I'm wrong now. I still care about you. A lot, and I missed you. I held out hope that one day my phone would ring, with that familiar song and I'd hear your voice. Tell me why you never showed up, never called. Why you just vanished. And after a bit I called myself a chump, I moved got a new job. I start to meet some people again, and who do I see but you. Was he before me? I used to think not, because you'd never lie to me. You never could lie to anyone. I remember asking why you had to be home so early, or where you went sometimes, and you could never answer. Just nervously fidget and tell me that you had to be had to go."

Roy took his hand out of hers and placed it back in his. Picking her other one up and using both of his hands to cradle hers.

"Maybe I should have pushed harder back then. But I wanted to let you have your space. Maybe I should have fought harder for you then. Found where you lived and kept after you. Found out why you came and went like you did. But I respected your privacy. I thought that I was over you, But I don't think people get over you, you're something better. And right now, I'm just kind of feeling like scum. So I'm gonna keep walking, and maybe when I can talk to myself I can talk to you."

Roy's voice cracked and he fought for a minute to keep tears out of his eyes.

"So say what you need to say right now and then let me walk away from you. And maybe when I can answer you for what I've done I will."

And now some of what Diana told her was beginning to make sense. A life as a hero meant sacrifices, sometimes it meant any life outside that would suffer and having friends would be hard. She pulled back from Roy, he'd been honest with her about his work, at least that he was working. She'd never told him about her exploits as Wonder Woman's side kick or even her own solo stuff. She'd never told him, and now it was part of this whole mess.

Then another part of his speech caught her, what? That wasn't right at all!

"I did call because I couldn't make it. And I know I was busy, I just had...a lot of stuff going on. But I called and left a message with the desk sergeant telling you I was going to be out of touch and couldn't make it. There was an emergency at home and I had to go. You never showed up when I got back, and then they told me you'd been reassigned and couldn't tell me where or how to get in touch with you."

Life of an Amazon wasn't the easiest, how could she possibly explain that Hades was causing trouble on Themyscira and she had to go home to help with that? Not exactly like cell phones worked there or it came with a forwarding address. She had been out of touch for a while but she hadn't expected him to be gone by the time she came back. Part of his comment stung deeply, the insinuation that she was even possibly unfaithful to him.

"And for the record... there was no one else. You were the first guy I even got close to. And there hasn't been anyone else...well.. I mean there's Grant but he's never said anything ..you know... We had a date. I'm sorry if that upsets you..but seeing you kiss two girls and then seeing-"

She had no right to follow him so she couldn't hold what she saw in the Tower against him, it wasn't fair or right.

"Your pretty robe came from somewhere. It seems like you did move on Roy, I guess we both should. Goodbye."

Donna pushed past him and rushed away, unsure where exactly she was going to go but anywhere not with him seemed like a good idea. She was hurting and blaming herself for some of what he was going through. Hating herself because she was jealous and had no right to be, he wasn't her's..maybe he never had been. Frankly Grant deserved better, right now she wasn't feeling very much the goddess nor the hero. All she wanted to do was not feel.

Robin nodded to Starfire, and the two drifted off to sleep in each others’ arms. At around five in the morning, Robin woke up with a strong urge to urinate, and then decided to grab a glass of milk from the kitchen before going back to sleep. Then, hearing the intercom, he made his way to the first floor and let Vulcan in. “Uh... Morning...”

"IT IS MORNING," replied Vulcan, still looking impressively scratch free, considering the smash he'd taken from Grundy. "I WAS UNABLE TO SPEAK TO YOU YESTERDAY, DUE TO THE COMBAT CIRCUMSTANCES. PERHAPS WE COULD TALK NOW? YOU ARE LOOKING FOR NEW MEMBERS, CORRECT?"

Gar

Gar thought he had heard knocking as he came into the room from the bathroom. Raven had been right about their need to relax and he'd taken a nice long shower to begin the process.

It had been longer than he'd expected it to be, since thoughts of all the people in his life that he'd felt he'd let down in some fashion had come through while he stood under the steamy stream. Mom...Dad...Rita...Clliff, even Larry and the Chief...Jillian...and now Vic.

Stopitstopitstopit....Raven's right, this isn't helping me or anyone. Have to think about something else.

Gar tried to think back to the party and the fight and how he might have handled things differently. That led him back to feeling responsible for things, so he tried to focus on just happy thoughts as he dried off.

Was that a knock? the sexy costumes of the partygoers...
I think so bare legs and tight bodices on the dance floor...
Who could be knocking on my door? Star's helium-like giggle...

"Beast Boy?, I just wanted to check up on you... Can I come in?"

Raven He opened the door and stood there in just a pair of gym shorts. "Hey there! Sure, come on in," Gar told Raven with a big smile on his face, and the thought of her in her bunny costume in his mind.
